so what did chicago 68 accomplish for good or for bad.
did it kill humpheries chance as president ?
did it cement a hatred for the police among certain leftists ?
did it change the world or establish a precedent for protest politics ?
is this precedent useful ?

how did it compare to paris 68 ?

Hatred for the police is inevitable, no specific event needed to cement that. It's sad that police have become the necessary enemy, since they are, in effect, working class too, and not really the ultimate cause of anything. Still, this seems to be the inevitable case everywhere in the world, and it probably has as much to do with what types of people apply for police jobs, as with "I'm just following my orders".
