Gravity's Rainbow!

Ironically, I've read very very little. There's a lot of good stuff at the a.s.s.m pages/archives, but I lost any specific links in the Great Bookmark Crash Of 2003. Clean Sheets (free, cleansheets.com) and Ruthie's Club (pay, obvious url) are both good too.

I loved Anais Nin when I was a teenager, but less so now. Georges Bataille makes for fun reading, but more in the "it's about explicit sex" sense than the "erotic" sense. Not a big fan of the Rice/Rampling/whatever books.

Does Lolita count? :)

("Ironically" because until my plate got full with other things, I was more successful as a smuttist than anything else.)

dude I want to read your porn. wait, maybe not. okay, bring it on.

A fiction writer once told my class her warm-up exercise for writing was to sit down and write straight porn for 30 minutes.

Haven't checked the page lately to make sure the links still work, etc., but .. wait, I better make sure this is even the url. Yes, okay, there it goes:

http://www.asstr.org/~Simon/

The better stuff isn't there cause it isn't free, except for a story Clean Sheets took, but that apparently isn't linked. You could probably find it by plugging my pen name (on that site) into the Clean Sheets search engine if you wanted -- but there's like six stories on that site there, that's more than you could want :)

(I didn't say I'm a better smuttist than anything else, I just stumbled into early success.)

The Wendy one's gonna be in my short story collection, come to think of it, I'd better take that down soon. "Leah" and "Mary" are the most popular ones, but I like "Grace" best.

I'm torn about whether I would want to know what anyone thinks of those :) (Which is why the email address listed there is never checked anymore.)

Tep, does the ms you sent me have its bluer moments?

Leee (Leee), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 02:18 (twenty-two years ago)

There's a little bit of hanky vampy panky, but nothing too blue.

Song of Solomon

There are a couple of disturbing sexual situations described in Robert Cormier's Fade, a book I first became aware of as a seventh grader via a curiosity-fueled trip to the school library. One of the sexual situations involved pedophilia; the other involved incest between siblings. In the eighth grade I pointed this out to some of my other classmates and within a couple of weeks the book was pulled from the library shelves. Coincidence? Not.

Anyway, those situations were so disturbing that I'm wondering maybe that's what initially turned me off sexual contact for the whole of my adolescence, something which I'm still rather grateful for. Really. The novel as a whole is really involving and truly quality stuff, I feel.
