Tad (llamasfur), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 02:49 (twenty-two years ago)

A precarious, crumbling, venerable tradition of republican democracy ... ohhhhhh, wait, thaaaaaat west ... um, Joshua Tree national park?

brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 03:30 (twenty-two years ago)

My wife and I liked San Francisco.

The seals. Me like.

Though our Chinatown is MUCH better.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 03:36 (twenty-two years ago)

The only thing bad about the West is that me and my friends/family aren't there. (okay, it's not the ONLY thing)

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 03:42 (twenty-two years ago)

A precarious, crumbling, venerable tradition of republican democracy

If we're talking about California it's true both ways!!

jackson anderville, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 06:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Spencer Chow and his French CDs!

Forgot L.A And Wich West the Norwegian Wests Sucks

Christian Vasbotn Braaten (Christian Vasbotn Braaten), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

San Francisco is lovely. And California was the inspiration for the television classics "Beverly Hills 90210" and "The O.C.".

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

The train ride between Exeter and Penzance is absolutely beautiful.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Christian Vasbotn Braaten (Christian Vasbotn Braaten), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 13:31 (twenty-two years ago)

oh Utah's pretty nice if you don't count the Mormons.

hstencil, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 13:31 (twenty-two years ago)

The Grand Canyon is crap though. Flagstaff is much nicer.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Arizona's not as nice as New Mexico anyways.

hstencil, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

That's kind of wrong, actually.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 14:05 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe for you. I've always thought New Mexico is nicer.

hstencil, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 14:07 (twenty-two years ago)

How's about you explain why for once?

Anyway, the Rocky Mountains

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 14:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I think New Mexico is prettier. Plus though it gets hot, it doesn't have that aggravating 110+ degree heat that most of Arizona gets. Yeah, I know it's a "dry heat" but it's still like living in a blast furnace.

hstencil, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

The Grotto of Miracles, Portland, Oregon....

BAAAD...i wanted to go for my morning walk/hike while visiting, was surrounded by jesus figures. scary place to end up if you're a young boy

jameslucasakarroland (jameslucasakarroland), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 15:28 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah I was kinda being facetious. Portland is great though.

hstencil, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 15:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris Barrus (Chris Barrus), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 18:58 (twenty-two years ago)

hstencil OTM about NM vs AZ

What, no love for Colorado in this bitch?

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Im from Bakersfield, CA. The west is cool with me.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

there is even less to do in NM than there is to do in AZ. Will one of you two please explain why NM is so great? It's like, not even a state I'd think to think about.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess it depends on what you like to do. What is there to do in AZ that you couldn't do in NM?

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I will stick up for NM. Taos and Eaglesnest are badass places to ski/snowboard. Its super pretty too...

Not to mention the bulk fireworks factories.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

i was hoping this would be a grand clash of the civilizations thread. like search: democracy, ice cream; destroy: guns, capitalism.
