(and yes, i know this is a PURELY self-indulgent thread. and i don't care. neener neener. i'm sure you all will find some way of turning it into food, sex, or booze. have at it.)

i am not sleepy. nor do i have a (working it seems) tv. therefore i am sitting in my big comfy chair and looking at ile. (and yes, okay, i went out. in the rain. to buy cds. bad, bad me.)
i am ill. but still only *just.* a nagging headache. slight dizziness whenever i try to lift something heavy or take the stares. i will sleep tonite and go back to hawking pens and potato chips tomorrow.
in the meantime where's raggett with my mbv info? ;)
Ecstasy and Strawberry Wine -- fuzz pop more than anything else, but still fun.
You Made Me Realize -- MBV as MBV truly impacts. Oh baby. That massive solo in the middle of the title song, the self- descriptive grind of "Slow," the sex/death/pain of "Cigarette in Your Bed" somehow sounding soft and gentle...
Feed Me With Your Kiss -- MBV invents grunge. Oh, you think I'm *kidding*, do you, you bastards? What the hell is all that noise on the main riff if not something Mudhoney would give their eyeteeth for? "I Need No Trust" -- beauty.
Instrumental 7" -- glide guitar meets Public Enemy breaks and the future is again invented. A couple of years later Lenny Kravitz uses *the exact same beat* on "Justify My Love." HMMMM...
There, happy? ;-)

what did you have to eat?
(the title for my unreleased third album. after: wild is my love, silly.)
second was: Wild Is My Love, Silly
and the third you know.
(hmmm. but i guess perhaps "contextualize" wasnt the best word then. ::ducks::)
Ecstasy/Wine -- 1986/1987. Everything else -- 1988, pretty much.
