A Wednesday night with MILLAR....

(Keep in mind all of us have to work tomorrow morning)

Took shots for every letter of the alphabet. Eventually having to start back over at 'A'...i think we made it to D on round two.

Sang Michael Jackson karaoke.

Drank endless numbers of beers/shots (from 8pm-1:45am)with an end tab equalling $3.

Millar took a shot consisting of Bombay Dry Gin and milk.

Came within inches of being slapped by the bartender for repeated use of the words, "hey...honey...hot bout more beerssss?"

Yacking in two trashcans and in two seperate toilets.

Listened to a dude from Korea sing opera over top of random jukebox selections.

I know a lot more happened, and hopefully i will remember it tomorrow.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:05 (twenty-two years ago)

He dunked his cellphone in his glass of water because he thought we spiked it with GHB. Right. He was out of his mind by this point dancing to David Bowie's "Lets Dance" as he threw barstools onto the floor...

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha! He gets really drunk. That's both very cool and hilarious! Tell me more.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:10 (twenty-two years ago)

mayhem!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:11 (twenty-two years ago)

He started talking korean as some korean walked into the bar, ironically. The guy asked him how he learned to speak it...and Millar's response was, "Fuck, dude...i watch a lot of fuckin' asian gangster movies...how the hell do you know korean?" As if it wasnt aparent. Time went on and eventually the dude started going opera on him...it was quite odd.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I would love to get drunk with Millar sometime. Even depressed as I am now, I'm sure it would be good times.

Going opera?

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)

He kept bitching because "Electric Avenue" was not an option on the karaoke selection. Nor was Led Zep's "Immigrant song". It only added fuel to the fire if you ask me.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:15 (twenty-two years ago)

He started revealing his inner monologue by singing in Italian?

oops (Oops), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Going opera?

He turned out to be an opera singer for the US Army band. Hence, opera. He was actually singing...very loud. No joke.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:16 (twenty-two years ago)

We have a US Army band but no US Army breakdance squad? We are SO unprepared for the battle down at the rec center.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe my tax dollars are paying for fucking Army opera singers. . .

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

We will be in NYC for the Labor Day weekend, and i suggest everyone come and buy him shots. Millar is a force to be reckoned with.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

interestingly enough, i was just playing my "electric avenue" .mp3 ... how cosmic!

Tad (llamasfur), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I doubt I'll even get out of my bed on Labor Day. These days, I'm so broke I can't afford Taco Bell and so depressed that I don't even care. . .

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i'd love to meet tom f2f BUT ... (1) i'm broke as a joke too; and (2) i have to prepare for a trial on the wednesday after labor day (so i'll be busy all weekend).

Tad (llamasfur), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Eh. Im going to stop there. Maybe let Tom explain himself tomorrow when he sobers up. Hopefully Ally reads this and gets a chuckle. Nights like this arent done justice by words.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:37 (twenty-two years ago)

(i should also NOT be looking for the auf Deutsch lyrics to "Major Tom" on the web now, either!)

Tad (llamasfur), Thursday, 21 August 2003 05:40 (twenty-two years ago)

uhhhh. uuuhhhhhh. (my face hurts. Luke punched me in it.) uhhh uhh uhhhh. (I'm late to work and I have to explain my shiner to my supervisor) uhhh. FUCK. SHIT. PISS.

I blame the masons and their nazi gold. I got too close last night.
I got too close.

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Tad that is the best research ever done

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:03 (twenty-two years ago)

POST LYRICS NOW

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

(I called work and told them I'm jacked = they don't give much of a fuck = this is the THURSDAY OF DOOM)

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope Luke wakes up at 1045 feeling like absolute shit. It's only fair.

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Millar you swine! Why didn't you call me?

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I'm highly amused. Thanks.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

He hasnt even made it to work yet...(see timestamp on this post for the absurdity effect)

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Happy birthday, Luke, if you're reading this. I have a birthday party planned out for you over Labor Day. It involves copious amounts of Jager and me punching both you and Tom square in the fucking faces at some random moment. Also: a pinata!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

me punching both you and Tom square in the fucking faces at some random moment

Sounds like a Kodak moment!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you saying you're coming to the Labor Day FAP with yr camera then, A to the LE-X?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Still cannot do, but I'm suggesting that someone bring a camera with which to capture on film moments of spontaneous pugilism.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, well, I tried. You're missing out on the pinata! Delicious candy!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I can get candy anywhere. It's the fisticuffs that would get me there.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm just not going to make any kind of easy joke about candy right now and tell you that you're definitely missing out on fisticuffs. I actually have no clue where to get a pinata in NYC. The one reason why Arizona is better: you can buy a pinata anywhere.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

LA, too - should I send one?

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Make one Ally. Weekend craft project.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

You could probably get a Pinata somewhere on Canal Street....though it might be dragon shaped and filled with dim sum.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Send pinatas and yrself.

A pinata filled with dim sum=my idea of the greatest thing ever.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

If this thread is anything to go by, Tom fits the description of a dim-sum-filled pinata pretty accurately.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh. Getting deliriously violently drunk is awesome though!!!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

That could get messy. Fill mine with General Tso's. With a smaller one to the side full of steamed white rice.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Side dishes are not really entirely pinata spirit, I fear.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Well...make it so.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

So, i lost my debit/check card last night at the bar we went to. Thats such a pain in the ass. I dont know how people lived without check cards back in the day. Im actually going to have to WRITE out a check. Thats stupid.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:45 (twenty-two years ago)

You lost your credit card. Tom lost his car keys. And poss. his cell phone? Did it come out alright of the drink dipping? What in the hell.

I should just start doing tons of drugs again and getting involved in cell phone throwing fites and screaming matches with strangers.

I kind of fear drunken pinata games now that I'm thinking this through a little more.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Couldnt be any more dangerous than our 30 yard dart games after 10 buckets of beer.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:49 (twenty-two years ago)

That's kind of true but kind of not at the same time. I think the bat at close range is potentially far worse than the dart at far-ish range.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

What if we were hitting the darts with the bat...blindfolded...like a fucked up game of baseball meets badmitten...or however you spell that stupid game that uses shuttlecock. Hehehe, cock. uh huh huh...

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess i should go back to work...been on lunch break since 11:30.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually the darts+bat game sounds kind of cool. Can we somehow also combine it with dizzy bats? You know, where you have to put your head on the tip of the bat, spin around 10 times, then try to run...

I've been on lunch break since I checked my email this morning and I got all fucked off. I've done no work it's great.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Spinktor, I don't have a check card. And the only check I write is for rent every month.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Eh. I didnt say my theory was flawless.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 21 August 2003 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I get to go shopping for suits looking like an idiot hooligan! Hooray for me!

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 21 August 2003 22:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Considering that last night I couldn't find my keys to get into the house (and I drove) I'm not surprised that they were in your pocket. It's the last place we thought to look.

lewke (lewke), Thursday, 21 August 2003 23:03 (twenty-two years ago)

It's like I'm hanging out in Amherst all over again.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 23:09 (twenty-two years ago)

haha that was unnecessarily harsh, I mean no one is talking about setting recycling sheds on fire. You're probably all at the Rapture again anyway.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 21 August 2003 23:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Looks like we are taking a break from Rapture. Unless no one called me. Fucking a-holes.

Keep your head up Millar you beautiful animal!

Tony Hawthorne (Cannonball Run), Thursday, 21 August 2003 23:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I am not purchasing any alcohol for my house over Labor Day weekend, that's for sure. It's bad enough that my carpets LOOK like they were bled on, I don't need real blood everywhere!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 00:06 (twenty-two years ago)

In my mind, this whole thread is soundtracked by Andrew WK!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah, but it should be soundtracked by....

http://www.oblongbox.com/WorkImages/SeeingRed/SeeingRed_Title.jpg

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

In my head it's soundtracked by Bright Eyes!

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Tom is no stranger to bleeding, thats for sure. He left a bloody foam on this one girl's bathroom at her birthday party.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this a preview of Turbonegro at the Black Cat?

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:24 (twenty-two years ago)

j.lu, you're still coming, right? Please tell me you're coming so I can hope for one sane person in attendance.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:30 (twenty-two years ago)

if RONAN=MAN OF OATS, and i am = MAN OF AMARANTH; then TOM MILLAR=MAN OF HEMOGLOBIN.

Tad (llamasfur), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Got my ticket.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:53 (twenty-two years ago)

SPIKED HEMOGLOBIN

Millar (Millar), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Whoa-whoa-whoa...what are you saying? Im sane. For the most part.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Ok, Spinktor, then you got my back, right?

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:56 (twenty-two years ago)

That and im the only one that knows how to get to the black cat via anything other than the metro.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Spinktor looks after No. 1. Hence the "unmerciful" portion of my title.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Well then you're of no use to my plans, sheesh. Don't get so sensitive at the exclusion from the "sane" subplot.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 01:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Drinking with Millar is always an experiment in walking the tightrope between an entertaining situation and and one that's just fucking hazardous. And Lewke is gonna kill someone if he keeps getting powersloshed and driving all over the place.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't decide if it was Tracer or Spencer who won this thread.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I remember the sincere jealousy I felt when I first met Millar in that park and realized he'd been drinking for 24 hours plus. and does this frequently.

I'm actively looking forward to being in New York again.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

it must have been Tracer. I didn't contribute much to this one - though I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

And Lewke is gonna kill someone if he keeps getting powersloshed and driving all over the place.

Not funny.

Mary (Mary), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Wreckless endangerment is totally funny.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

To morons maybe.

Mary (Mary), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Spencer, you and Tracer both posted exactly once. Until now! You win! Your prize is a copy of the ILX Anthology and a signed photograph of Jess.

Mary OTM.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

is this thread glorification or humiliation? i can't tell

stevem (blueski), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Humiliation.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

glorification OF humiliation :)

stevem (blueski), Friday, 22 August 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't say who it was humiliating to!

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Not funny.

I don't think anyone was actually laughing. We had other means of transport arranged but then tempers got out of hand and things got extremely fucked up. Neither of us are in the least bit proud of anything that went on that night.

If this thread is glorification in any way then it must be glorification of my & Luke's constant inability to wind up in the morgue or prison despite our most idiotic and juvenile attempts. Fuck this behavior. I'm tired of explaining my purple eyesocket to all my damn coworkers.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 22 August 2003 19:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Purple eyesocket, eeeeew.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 19:36 (twenty-two years ago)

It would probably be even more annoying if it weren't for the fact that a dude who works in another part of our branch got a very similar injury last week and looks a lot worse than I do. So I'm not the only jackass walking around the second floor with a funky face.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 22 August 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha at least in my office we hide our bruises! Except for when Manon worked here, she'd walk around pointing out her sex bruises, it was like, wtf?

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

ALCOHOL WARNING: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether or not you should take aspirin or other pain relievers / fever reducers. Aspirin may cause stomach bleeding

Why do I feel like this is the first time I've read this? They sure know how to scare the living shit out of someone.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 22 August 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Aleve rulez

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:02 (twenty-two years ago)

It kind of sounds like Ally!

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Millar, you coming to the BBQ for Helltime Producto? I guess its going to be a FAP if there are more than one of us...or maybe not. Whatever though.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

haha yeah I'll be at the Helltime BBQ FAP. I dunno if I'm bringing any meat this time though.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:14 (twenty-two years ago)

We've taken to calling them "WTF" instead of "FAP" please keep up, ok?

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Why the fuck not? Im not giving you my steak...fucker. Its not going to be until 8-9. Nomee wants it late for some reason.

What does that stand for?

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:16 (twenty-two years ago)

"What the fuck"

(hotel rooms sorted for next weekend, Luke is now my brother as far as my company is concerned. You can be my cousin if you want?)

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

You guys can all drive yourselves off a cliff holding hands if that's how you want to celebrate a birthday, but once you start endangering other people who might not want to be part of this pact, I have to call bullshit.

Mary (Mary), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Mary OTM again except for the concept that it'd be ok to drive off a cliff either, if you two morons get ideas I'll smack you both. I don't know how my parents raised such an irresponsible son!

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey I don't think anyone was bragging about driving under the influence. We all know it's wrong and everyone fucks up sometimes. The Den Mother schitck is unneccessary.

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:31 (twenty-two years ago)

That's Catholic Mother, Sam.

Mary (Mary), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I'll remember "everyone fucks up sometimes" when they both end up dead. Fucking a. Can we do me a big huge personal favor and stop this line of conversation dead before I have a complete nervous breakdown?

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Iron Maiden fucking rules. End of discussion.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:42 (twenty-two years ago)
