Oh my god, I must get a pair for the horrible wee dog next door - to go with it's ponytail!

smee (smee), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

My god, find something else to spend your money on you crazy people! (obv to be said to stooopid people that buy these not to you Emily!)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 21 August 2003 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I want night vision doggles!

Dale the Titled (cprek), Thursday, 21 August 2003 13:00 (twenty-two years ago)

But what if your dog suddenly decides to pilot an open plane or blast off into space and is ill-prepared due to lack of Doggles?

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 21 August 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Night Vision Doggles....nooooo, then yappy the wonderdog could find our ankles in the dark!

This thread is certain proof of inventions which only come into existence because the potential brand name/meme is so mouthwatering.

Its shit like this that makes me happy to watch the fall of modern civilization.

Wear sunglasses that block UV rays. This well known sentence should also be applied to your pets.

All y'all bitchez are just jealous because now your dog can look like it's in the Matrix, and you're still stuck wearing Jams, Birkenstocks, and a tie-dyed daishiki. Your dog is cooler than you, you sad losers.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 21 August 2003 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Any form of clothing/accessory on dogs = dud

robster (robster), Thursday, 21 August 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Alfie (Alfie), Thursday, 21 August 2003 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm worried about Cockles. Though I suppose they would have to be monocles.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 21 August 2003 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha and ew.

My dog says they are totally wack, and wouldn't ever contemplate wearing them.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

My dog is cruelly mocking your dog for being behind the times in canine couture.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Did anyone see the juxtaposition of "doggles" and "stylish" and have to blink a couple of times to understand the title of this thread properly? Um, okay. Um, forget it.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Where can I get my dog a decent frozen doffee?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I just want to say "cockles." Thanks.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

not doggie leatherboy hats, that's just sick.

teeny (teeny), Thursday, 21 August 2003 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I found a book of doggie sweater patterns at Borders.

rosemary (rosemary), Thursday, 21 August 2003 21:38 (twenty-two years ago)

My parents' dog must wear a sweater on walks in the winter or she will freeze solid and break right in half. That's what my mom says, anyway.

Actually, I saw a golden retriever wearing those goggles and sticking his head out the window of a car the other day, and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. He looked like he was having so much fun!

Kingfish (Kingfish), Thursday, 21 August 2003 22:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm reading this thread as doggie-style every time.

If you read the ad more closely...

i dunno -- decent military burial. Sounds nice after all those exploits, it does.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 22 August 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Could conceivably be justified in dogs with existing eye problems, or breeds with eyes that bulge out & are vulnerable to scratching. If I were going to put my pug into a steel cage match with a lot of cats, I'd want him wearing them, but other than that it seems goofy.

Of course, half the point of having a pug dog is that it makes goofy acceptable...
