You're Anerley retentive.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Picky, Ricky, but if you're going to have Acton or Putney then I'm definitely allowed Elephant & Castle which is a totally discrete facility from either of the tube stations.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

but Acton Central and Putney are nowhere near nor connected to their nearest tube stations on the tube map - unlike E&C

stevem (blueski), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

blackheath

RJG (RJG), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Putney to East Putney isn't that much further than the distance on foot between the E&Cs.

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

If we're counting E&C I've got both non-tube West Hampsteads.

Hayes and Harlington

jel -- (jel), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I think these are inside zone 6, but I'm not 100% sure:

St. Mary Cray
Weybridge
Chertsey

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 22 August 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, and Windsor and Eton Riverside too.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

(and if Sevenoaks is inside zone 6, then I changed trains there once. But I'm fairly sure it isn't.)

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Acton Town is tube only and it's rubbish because they don't have proper electronic timetables that tell you exactly how many minutes away the next train is (fair dos tho, this would be pretty much impossible to do on that District/Picadilly stretch between Ealing Common and Earl's Court i guess)

stevem (blueski), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Chadwell Heath

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

woah, why did i think jel said Acton TOWN? he's right tho, Central is great - it's got a level crossing attached - game over.

stevem (blueski), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, I meant Actom Central, and have edited it thusly.

Falcolnwood

jel -- (jel), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

aha! i thought my mind was playing tricks on me! the benefits of moderation eh?

stevem (blueski), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Barnes has two level crossings, but they're a few chains down from the station.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

jel -- (jel), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

heh sorry Steve!

jel -- (jel), Friday, 22 August 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

jel i'm glad you got Castle Bar Park and South Acton covered....Castle Bar Park tho! what a bleak place - and it just out of that ominous tunnel, how come you've been there? actually the nearby Hanwell Community Centre looks like a really interesting building and i need to go photograph it

Daniel (dancity), Saturday, 23 August 2003 00:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Ed, I thought we weren't supposed to be listing National Rail stations that also have Underground or DLR. Although, it is a bit of a vague divide; there are only a few places that really count as single stations with both National Rail and Underground services - the Richmond branch, Stratford, the Bakerloo north of Queens Park, and so on.

(you get lots of pedant points for "Victoria (both sides)", though)
