short notice: Sean C in Montreal Aug 25 evening / Aug 26 day....beer?

Subject line sez it all. I'm going to be in Montreal on quasi-business, arriving tomorrow (the 25th) just after noon, and leaving Tuesday (26th) at 430pm-ish. I'll be staying downtown, near St. Laurent and Sherbrooke. It's probably not long-enough-notice for a FAP, but if anyone is interested in meeting up at some point for a beer or something, either drop a post here, or send me email..I'll be checking while I'm on the road, every so often.

If it helps, I can totally vouch for Sean as excellent company for having a beer. He even attracts Yanni look-a-likes to the vicinity. Expect to see him exhibit his most recent tech toy for you. Four and a half out of five stars.

Sean if you're reading this Fung Shing on St-Laurent, not very far from where you'll be (it's just below Rene-Levesque) is a very good hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant!

so I got in at about noon and have been walking ever since; went from the via station to the hotel, to all the cool record stores on st denis and mont_royal (that I could find anyhow), walked up st-laurent up to about rosemount to see an old friend, then down to the park, up the hill to the cross, down the hill to the depanneur to get beer, down to fung shing for takeout and now I'm back at the hotel. no answers here from montrealers so I'll probably just get to sleep early and go see vieux montreal early in the morning.
