i was thinking back to when i was a kid, like 5 or 6, and i remembered this series of dreams i had about being hunted by a giant bertie bassett (the promotional character for liquorice allsorts here in the UK) in the forest, and i would run fast and faster and he would just keep going, this giant candy monster. and then i was thinking i could vaguely remember some adverts that had a "scary" bertie in them, like a giant bertie would come round and molest people for their allsorts, and i figured that might be what my dreams were influenced by. can anyone who was older than i was in the 80s confirm the existence of these adverts? or did my brain fantacise this giant liquorice mentalist all by itself?
