Just picked up the last copy from the bookstore today at lunch. So far, so good. Even the chapter list is funny.

let's see if he can hold it up for 300+ pages, tho.

Franken reprints the entire front page of the NYT in question, and even goes into MSPaint to circle the obit that they in fact ran & writes "See?".

Actually...there's a little thought experiment you can do with the speeches of Right Wing Kooks. Here's how the game is played.
1) Go onto the 'net.
2) Download some transcripts of speeches by Rush Limbaugh, Ronald Reagan, Bush's Jr and Sr., Tipper Gore, Ann Coulter, etc.
3) Download some transcripts of speeches by Heinrich Himmler, Hermann Goering, Hitler, etc...and a couple by Leon Trotsky or Josef Stalin. (Don't worry, the Communist ones will come in handy soon enough.)
4) Turn them all into text files, and remove the author attributions.
5) Do the following "Find and Replace" changes
- in speeches trumpeting Family Values, Change the phrase "Family Values" to "Master Race"
- in the liberal-bias-myth-conspiracy nut ones, replace the word "Liberal" with "Bourgeois" and the words "Hard Working American" with
"Proletariat"
6) Show the finished product to friends. See if they can tell the propoganda from the...uh...Fair and Balanced American Journalism.

FWIW, Grover Norquist's known to be an admirer of Lenin. That's in Brock's book, too, and Norquist has otherwise confirmed it. (Not to mention that the entire Bush Administration seems to have a Stalinist mentality, but that's another argument.)
