how does the One Tun on Goodge St from 7pm grab you? confirmed line-up so far = me and Gareth. i haven't seen some of you since Trig Bruv so do please come on down.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 28 August 2003 17:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Steve - sat is the 30th.

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 28 August 2003 17:22 (twenty-two years ago)

*adjusts abacus sheepishly*

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 28 August 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I really want to go to this, but I'm at a wedding in Corsham, near Bath. It's the same wedding party whose Hen and Stag do clashed with Trig Brother.

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 28 August 2003 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

if you are wondering why annas post now makes no sense, i changed the title from the 28th to the 30th cuz steve got it wrong and it would be potentially confusing to people

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 28 August 2003 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Rah, you did it to spite me. Confusion be damned.

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 28 August 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

only ned can say rah

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 28 August 2003 18:00 (twenty-two years ago)

i predict a low turnout cos Club FT is next Wednesday anyway but would be nice to see people before then

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 28 August 2003 18:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going out west of west on Saturday, so I don't think I'd make it! Thinking about going to the FT thing, and will be at Pete's birthday gathering! So, see ya then!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 28 August 2003 18:16 (twenty-two years ago)

west of west? not...Slough?!

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 28 August 2003 18:18 (twenty-two years ago)

only ned can say rah

-- gareth

*flounces*

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 28 August 2003 18:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Worst FAP ever.

David. (Cozen), Thursday, 28 August 2003 18:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I think I can do this, very probably.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 28 August 2003 19:41 (twenty-two years ago)

good, and ignore cozen, it will NOT be the worst FAP ever, it will be the fourth worst

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 28 August 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Uxbridge!!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 28 August 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be there early doors but I might be off to see the Gossip later on.

Ricardo (RickyT), Thursday, 28 August 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm probably in Glasgow, so apologies. See you at FT though.

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 28 August 2003 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

That's good and near the Pint Pot if you're thinking of actually going for the worst FAP ever!

Probably won't make it :(

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 28 August 2003 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure I can come to this, as I am supposed to be drinking with SE London ch1X0rz tomorrow night. Although I may cancel and come anyway.

It has Gareth, Steve and Martin, ergo there is no way it can be the worst FAP ever. Best maybe, but not worst.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 29 August 2003 08:22 (twenty-two years ago)

i will be there. also:

I will be there early doors but I might be off to see the Gossip later on.

i was considering starting a thread asking if people were up for going to see the gossip!! so i may tag along if that's ok ricky...

toby (tsg20), Friday, 29 August 2003 10:12 (twenty-two years ago)

where are the gossip playing? have any of you considered asking doomie for a guestlist place?

gareth (gareth), Friday, 29 August 2003 10:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Ooh, I'll ask him for a guestlist place.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 29 August 2003 10:52 (twenty-two years ago)

somewhere above ox st. i've forgotten where. as i recall it was only £2-£3 to get in anyway...

toby (tsg20), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I would quite like to go to this as well...

Sarah (starry), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, i dont like them really, i'll go to one tun, but not the gig

gareth (gareth), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course being a girl my attendance at the FAP probably won't be registered anyway (grrr).

Sarah (starry), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:49 (twenty-two years ago)

heh.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

i assume The Gossip are at the Metro?

Matt DC please bring these SE London Ch1X0rz with you - in fact unless you turn up with a two on each arm then I'm turning you away at the door san

stevem (blueski), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

i lapsed into Italian briefly there

stevem (blueski), Friday, 29 August 2003 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

TO says gossip at needles on clipstone st.

toby (tsg20), Friday, 29 August 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Bringing SE London Ch1X0rz is a great ideaa wonderful way to ensure that Matt can fulfill two social functions in one go.

I would say killing two birds with one stone, but this would obv. set the wrong tone.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 29 August 2003 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)

not for steve

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 29 August 2003 12:54 (twenty-two years ago)

didn't they play the metro the other week?

*carsmile imagines mattDC turning up with lots of wimmin and the world imploding the first gender balanced fap takes place...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 29 August 2003 12:54 (twenty-two years ago)

They are playing at Needles, aye.

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 29 August 2003 13:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Will probably be there. I might have promised to go and see Jazzy Jeff that evening, though, so perhaps not for too long. (And I want to find out what the Gossip are like too. Rats.)

cis (cis), Friday, 29 August 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Jazzy Jeff??

Can I come too?!?

Sarah (starry), Friday, 29 August 2003 15:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm out in Uxbridge tonight - oh the horror...

stevem (blueski), Friday, 29 August 2003 15:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course you can, Sarah! (Although I think it's sold out, and don't know if my brother's mate actually bothered to get tickets or just, you know, talked about it a lot. Being a Useless Boy and all.)

cis (cis), Friday, 29 August 2003 15:45 (twenty-two years ago)

where is Jeff playing?

stevem (blueski), Friday, 29 August 2003 15:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Jazz Cafe, Camden.

cis (cis), Friday, 29 August 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

That's too many mentions of the word "jazz" for me, I'm afraid. Come and see the Gossip! They R brill.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 29 August 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

They did play the Metro the other week, and I went and everything. Liked them, but they weren't KaitO, which wasn't really their fault. KaitO were KaitO, on the other hand, and they were mind-bogglingly tremendous.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Friday, 29 August 2003 17:24 (twenty-two years ago)

sarah, (i already said this but on some other thread where i think it will get swamped by other things), the thing about no girls at faps, was not a generalization on whoevers part, there were around 3 faps where the turnout was 100% male, of course this not every fap, by any means, but i think we were talking about how there had been a couple faps with no female presence at all

gareth (gareth), Friday, 29 August 2003 18:00 (twenty-two years ago)

KaitO are amazing. I hope they play Glasgow soon.

Cozen (Cozen), Friday, 29 August 2003 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

kaitO sounds like a catfood brand! :)

jel -- (jel), Friday, 29 August 2003 18:54 (twenty-two years ago)

They are as good as Kaito and iTunes doesn't know how to discriminate between the two. :(

Cozen (Cozen), Friday, 29 August 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

so 7pm then?

toby (tsg20), Saturday, 30 August 2003 08:57 (twenty-two years ago)

yup, seeya later

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 30 August 2003 09:07 (twenty-two years ago)

''That's too many mentions of the word "jazz" for me, I'm afraid. Come and see the Gossip! They R brill.''

better to stay away then ;)

might go but haven't decided. but i can't go to the gig.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 30 August 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

i think im gonna miss this but im down for ft night on wed

mark p (Mark P), Saturday, 30 August 2003 14:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this a good time to interject with the words, "I'm playing some records in London this evening if you need a venue"?

It's my flatmate's birthday, expect absolutely bloody anything to be played cos there are at least five DJs and they all have different tastes. We'll be there 8pm-2am.

I, for one, will probably be including Lord Kitchener, Ninetynine, The Streets, Hot Hot Heat, Pulp and probably The Clash. Requests to the usual address.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Saturday, 30 August 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm really sorry not to make this, for a few reasons, but I'm not terribly well today. I don't remember if I've mentioned that I'm epileptic, but I am, although I've had no real problems with it for years. The three full fits I ever had were all long ago, and were all preceded by strange visual effects, which people call tunnel vision (I should emphasise that I can't think of any link or real similarity) between this and my other recent eye problems. I had my first bad spell of that in many years today, and it has shaken me up. I'm also feeling a bit low and anxious in one or two other ways, so no night out for me tonight. Have fun!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 30 August 2003 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

That sucks, Martin. Hope things improve.

Ricardo (RickyT), Saturday, 30 August 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

what ricky said.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 30 August 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

umm, gareth???

anyway, i had a good time. pete's level of innuendo about punting was particularly impressive...

toby (tsg20), Saturday, 30 August 2003 22:37 (twenty-two years ago)

had a good time as well. this pub jukebox was excellent and we all agreed that 'race for the prize' by the flaming lips was the best song played.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 30 August 2003 22:52 (twenty-two years ago)

haha, no! best song was clearly Boney M's 'Rasputin'

i am very concerned about Gareth...

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 30 August 2003 23:21 (twenty-two years ago)

stop lying steve. just bcz you didn't like it!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 30 August 2003 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

no i like 'race for the prize', but 'rasputin' blows it out the water

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 31 August 2003 00:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Good to meet all of you, and here's the address that'll reach me.

nick.K (nick.K), Sunday, 31 August 2003 08:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Aww Martin, sorry to hear my friend! *hugz*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Sunday, 31 August 2003 14:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I must take full responsibility for poisoning gareth on friday night.

Ed (dali), Sunday, 31 August 2003 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)

i was ill anyway ed

gareth (gareth), Sunday, 31 August 2003 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry I missed this. Martin - hope you're okay... and I want to know what the rest of you did to poor Gareth.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 1 September 2003 06:52 (twenty-two years ago)

we missed it, we had gone to the dogs.

chris (chris), Monday, 1 September 2003 07:35 (twenty-two years ago)

You went to the dogs long ago Brassica. < /obvious joke dept.>

Anna (Anna), Monday, 1 September 2003 10:19 (twenty-two years ago)

that joke was rejected by even my brains screening department

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 1 September 2003 10:20 (twenty-two years ago)

it was a bit of a trap, wasn't it?

chris (chris), Monday, 1 September 2003 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

i got out of the trap pretty quickly

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 1 September 2003 10:35 (twenty-two years ago)

smarter than the average Ronan

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 September 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

woof woof

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 1 September 2003 10:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I like what you've done with your hare.

Tim (Tim), Monday, 1 September 2003 11:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry I didn't go to any of these things. The bus was very late getting back from Imber and we were totally drained. So we went home and watched The Holy Mountain until our eyes bled instead.

kate (kate), Monday, 1 September 2003 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

So you back posting properly Kate?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 1 September 2003 11:36 (twenty-two years ago)

No, I'm in the loudest web cafe in the world - right on top of the Kings Cross underground line. Probably directly on the banks of the River Fleet, as well... sigh, no wonder I like it. It's cheap, so I can come here more often than I have been lately. Hopefully.

kate (kate), Monday, 1 September 2003 11:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Yay! It'll definitely be good to have you around again!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 1 September 2003 11:47 (twenty-two years ago)

We should have a FAP at the dogs, it would be fantastic!

Vicky (Vicky), Monday, 1 September 2003 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Excellent idea.

Ed (dali), Monday, 1 September 2003 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

We should have a FAP at the dogs, it would be fantastic!

...and now The Guardian has officially annointed Walthamstow with the mantle of trendiness [can you annoint a place with a mantle? either way...] we can all pretend we always thought it was great as well!

This is actually a good idea, sez I. To the dogs with all of us - go Santa's Little Helper ;-)

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Monday, 1 September 2003 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

so now there's a North East FAP in the pipeline? i'll keep plotting the NW and SW ones in the meantime...

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 September 2003 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Walthamstow dogs has this special deal. Entrance, dinner, two pints and teo bets for £13.50. Although it's free to get in on tuesdays anyway. Someone want to name a date?

Ed (dali), Monday, 1 September 2003 15:39 (twenty-two years ago)
