yes but when i'm on the phone to my friend P and she is watching TV in anerley and i am watching it in hackney, the sound is amusingly out of sync

I used to hear the roar of the crowd celebrating a goal at Highbury on the radio a split second before the real thing a mile or so down the road. Speed of radio waves (is this the same as the speed of light?) vs speed of sound IN YOUR FACE.
