Pay no mind to these shallow and frivilous answers, written by anti-intellectual churls and overreaching baboons. The Cosmic Egg is an ancient Origin myth embraced by a surprising variety of cultures.

For example, the Yanni of the Outer Society Islands held that the cosmic egg was laid by the mythical Rumdum bird in a nest of seaweed, during the Time Beyond Remembering, where it still sits to this day waiting to be hatched. This particular myth was told to explain the origin of a pervasive bad smell, reminiscent of sulphurous eructations, that is characteristic of these islands at low tide.

There is no egg. The universe was sneezed out of the nose of the Great Green Arkleseizure! Beware Ye the Coming of the Great White Handkerchief!
