I am running a pub quiz tonight and am quite keen that my questions (30 in total) are not all the bog standard, straight from the book style. Yet I've noticed it is quite difficult to think of questions. So in a sort of Anti-Nick way can you think of a a question that i should ask tonight. Obviously the answer might be useful too. I'm sure none of the students read the twin beeotch (yet).

Question pertaining to Asia and Africa particularly accepted, though must be tough.

Pete, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pete, heres one - Which terrorist organisation is behind the mass murder and destruction of the world trade centre? [Answer YKW, just I stated two weeks ago.]

DJ Martian, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pete has already tried this on his nearest and dearest and after we all ignored him is now throwing it open to the crowd. I urge you not to help him as he is lazy and this just encourages him. Also in the Reference Section at home there is ample fodder for a quiz.

Stupid questions are welcome though.

Emma, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm not sure whether that question would necessarily be in good taste. Still I could demand for proof, though it might compromise the integrity or very existence of the students sources.

It's "dance the go-go" surely.

What is the second most romantic song of all time?

Tom, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Tom, that would be a no-brainer. Obviously if she dances the go-go she is a ho. It's a tautology! Poles are a stickier issue.

27 - whats wrong with my last two questions? I thought they were top draw.

DJ Martian, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I need the answers too. Apart from that they would be top draw, though the football one requires probably too many answers.

Pete, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How about "which two current Spanish Primera Liga football clubs are based in Madrid?" Answer: Real Madrid, Rayo Vallecano. Reason why it's a good question: once mighty Atletico Madrid are currently in the division below. Second reason why it's a good question: Spanish speakers get to laugh at Pete as he attempts to pronounce Vallecano.

You may wish to get Nicky D to check the facts on this question.

Tim, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's the river Severn, Will, not a lake. Which the "stadium" hoho is right beside. In times of yore he paddled in a coracle.
