the third ep in the first series (when max visits the roswell museum) was like bev hills 90210 does anne frank's diary

get beyond the x-files jr tat and this is a fantasticly subtle series about identity, community, paranoia, loyalty, "western" complacency, a hyperprescient oblique poirtrait of the present as it horribly unrolls

phd = tellytubbies: four horsemen of the postmodern-apocalypse or WHAT!? (what were we thinking grumble mumble)

I've only ever seen it once (back when I had cable). It did feature a lovely Skanky Ho Boy. But I think he turned out to be an alien. Typical! What was Suzy just saying about Bowie casualties...?

...which is how cultured folks say 'gee, I think he's tripping.' ;-)

The Dirty Vicar had a fantastic explanation of the Teletubbies, the details of which I mostly forget. Pester him for it.

It has TWO top-of-the-range skanky ho boys (also there's the deputy sherriff) and THREE skanky ho girls. Not all aliens (tho surely in times like these we are ALL etc etc). Seemingly standard-issue gorgeous hollywood beauties massively uneasy with the fact of their beauty (is it a curse, are we evil, are the govt hunting us for it etc etc, is the world indeed what it seems). I wuv it.

Also top use of Dido, making it the Eminem of cult TV.

man roswell high sucks!

rezna, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Does NOT! I try my best to love Roswell High, perhaps I need to take a MBTV spin on it to love it. I admit I am in big love with Mr. Fehr, maybe made stronger after the episode which was just an excuse for Max and Liz to GET IT ON! Oh yeah she has "visions" when they snog and grope, OKAAAAY...

I've never watched it. I saw dopey Colin Hanks give an interview about the show and it put me off. Hanks-spawn is just a scary and unpalatable concept.

character ch plays = easily the weakest, plus now DEAD! (not that i've seen that ep yet)

I did not know his parentage till now ee-ew!! He was sired on Tom by alien anal probe and sperm depositor I hope. That I can deal with.

mark s, Wednesday, 26 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Some girl keeps trying to get me to watch this, while I insist that I don't watch tv and indeed may no longer know how.
