i saw the video for "i believe in a thing called love" by the darkness for the first time this evening. it featured, among other things, i gaint crab throwing pock-marked rocks at the singer who then went on to throw the rock back. i know that i've seen this crab before, and i'm certain it was in a video game. i'm also quite sure it was a game that i played a lot but i simply cannot remember which game or in fact anything else about it.
someone please enlighten me?

i know it sounds trivial but it really bothers me when i half-remember things like this and i usually can't rest until i get the whole story.

I haven't seen the video, but might it be Super Mario Bros. 2? I remember there was a crab who threw rocks at you in that.

OM EFFING G! Is there a real giant crab? Is that thing legit? It looks a bit more like a lobster (and that's equally distressing to me as a giant crab) I am still creeped out by the idea of a giant squid, now there are giant crabs & lobsters??? eeewww times two.

In demeanor perhaps, but a coconut crab can fuck you up if you corner one, apparently.

I guess it's similar to a sea snake.. really mellow towards humans, but if you really want to die, then go out of your way to piss one off, and you'll get a poisonous bite that will kill you in seconds.

ARRGGGH ditto, Pash, I would piss myself and then collapse in the mess if one of these thAngs presented itself anywhere. Just frightening and awful. Eh, where exactly do these things hail from so I can make sure to avoid the place(s) like the plague.

I of course take issue with any multi-legged creature of the arachnid class and the phrase "trapped in my bedroom by a spider near the door; somehow I had imagined my death much more glamorous" resonates to my soul.
