CLASSIC but not when badly misused. Like I remember in some shitty art class I took for no reason when the lecturer asked people what was the definition of irony (we were supposed to be taking 'ironic' photos...christ it was awful) and people started quoting Alanis in a non ironic way and mentally high fiving themselves for digging up such an 'obscure ref'.
