Comedy Vienna Aktionism - C/D?

Reading the epic 'Yelling Stuff From Cars' thread (which I won't link to, sorry) I noticed the only defences of this practice were based on the 'comedy surrealism' premise. As art movements go, 'surrealism' is a bit hal-assedly lame and studenty tho. OTOH, anyone ever innocently walked down the street and suddenly been deluged with bloody sheep entrails, then crucified to a scaffold while ppl flagellate and flay themselves accompanied by bowel-loosening power-electronics dirges? Now that's pranksterism!

The exhibit on them I saw in Vienna really delighted me, especially their film stuff.
