I'm enjoying my free cable, and I have no moral qualms, but I wonder -- can I go to jail just for watching Showgirls on HBO?

You should go to jail for watching Showgirls, it's fucking shit.

Oh, get off your high horse. Showgirls is perfectly acceptable crap Saturday night boredom TV. It has jigglin' boobs. Sometimes that's all you need.

Maaaan. . . .I was so proud of my punk-as-fuc cable that I stole for nearly a year.

But last month they caught me and cut it off. boo.

I am a much more intelligent man in re: The Beastmaster, Lunch Wagon Girls, and Gallagher than I would have been had my family not stolen cable many different times. so classic.

Pretty classic. I can watch TV in my bedroom.

For Australian ilxers: You need an existing Optus or Foxtel outlet, if it's been disconnected it may still be live. If it's not live, then you can probably go outside to the grey box outside your house and reconnect it. Buy a TV tuner card which has an BT8xx chipset (most of them do), buy a plug that converts the screw-like connectors into standard TV coax plugs and plug your tuner card into the foxtel slot. Download hNCPlus with the Newscrypt patch, install it, watch free Foxtel/Optus. (Optus is better, because their "encryption" scheme amounts to inverting the colours, muy dificil)
