Dubya v. anyone in the history of the world. Who's the 'worst' opposition you'd support over him? Daddy Bush? Tricky Dick? Satan Himself?

How low would you go?

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Monday, 8 September 2003 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I would much, much rather have Bush Sr running the show.

What about Schwartzenegger? Would you support him over Bush Jr? Would his English be better than that of Bush Jr?

daria g (daria g), Monday, 8 September 2003 21:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Nixon

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 8 September 2003 21:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Nixon, too. I would totally vote for a dead guy over Bush.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 8 September 2003 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Bob Dole!

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 September 2003 21:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Kang and Kodos

gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:01 (twenty-two years ago)

go ahead, throw your vote away!

(my b/f says this in Kang-voice every time I mention Nader. Fucko.)

teeny (teeny), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I would love to see an actual candidate yell AS A CHILD I OFTEN DREAMED OF BEING A BASEBALL! WE MUST MOVE FORWARD, NOT BACKWARD! UPWARD, NOT FORWARD! AND ALWAYS TWIRLING, TWIRLING, TWIRLING TOWARDS GLORY!

Actually seeing as how I recently wondered what candidate would use Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as a campaign song and Arnie now has, maybe I'll actually get to hear Arnie say those glorious words.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:23 (twenty-two years ago)

teeny your boyfriend rules

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:28 (twenty-two years ago)

teeny (teeny), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

..could win against Bush!

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

i'd buy that for a dollar.

gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Has ILX gotten FUCKING CREEPY lately?

teeny (teeny), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:39 (twenty-two years ago)

(sorry jess, couldn't resist!)

teeny (teeny), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:40 (twenty-two years ago)

once again my robocop references go unnoticed.

gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Every creep has his story.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, I noticed, I just ignored your joke in favor of my own. When will you people learn that it's all about me and my crotch?

teeny (teeny), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:47 (twenty-two years ago)

when it controls the free world, i guess.

gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd take teeny's Bush over Bush anyday.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:49 (twenty-two years ago)

it doesn't?

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 8 September 2003 22:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I vote for Walter MOndale with bio-implants to give him super strenth and he must always secrete poison marmelades through his holes.

Mike Hanle y (mike), Monday, 8 September 2003 23:09 (twenty-two years ago)

i can see the headline now...

Teeny's Crotch In Congress!

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 September 2003 23:09 (twenty-two years ago)

No, let's get back to Mike's plan there.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 8 September 2003 23:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll just conveniently drop in the fact that I was one of Senator John McCain's boosters here in the Alamo City (tired nicknames -- gotta love 'em), and if he were in the running I'd be tempted to vote for him over all. Though I do hope that in 2008 Condoleezza Rice tosses her hat into the ring (sports euphemisms -- gotta love 'em), because I do quite admire her.

As for "Who would you vote for in the celebrity arena?", hm. Former MTV VJ Kennedy seems to have a lot in common with me in terms of politics, so she'd probably be a good answer here. Arnold Schwarzenegger constantly upsets the neo-cons because they think he's a RINO (i.e. Republican in Name Only), but I like the way he thinks, and he's smarter than a lot of people give him credit for. Besides, neo-cons are just wagon-jumpers anyway and have no clue what REAL "compassionate conservatism" is about, anyway (hint: one of the things one should do as a compassionate conservative is to give to charity).

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 09:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Roky Erickson

dave q, Tuesday, 9 September 2003 09:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Are there any Richard Nixons Jr. or anything? I'd love to see a Dick vs. Bush showdown.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Hunter S Thompson
Michael Moore Michael Morley

brg30 (brg30), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 18:00 (twenty-two years ago)

deanna what do you think of the tax initiative in alabama that's on the ballot today?

(basically it's an initiative to raise taxes in alabama, and raise the lowest income that can be taxed, in an effort to funnel more money to the schools and other projects benefiting the poor, because of the sizeable amount of jesus' message in the bible that was based on respecting, and caring for, for the poor. the basis for the iniative is a thesis-turned-book called 'The Least of These: Fair Taxes and the Moral Duty of Christians.' there's an overview of it here.)

maura (maura), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Charles McCain (Charles McCain), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 18:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd love to see a Dick vs. Bush showdown.
where were you in 00?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

to answer the question,

what's Noriega up to these days?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 18:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Since Satan is obviously busy, I'd take hmm....damn, where are all the bloodthirsty dictators when you need them? (As for celebrity, Jesse Ventura could prolly do a better job than Junior.)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

i'd only vote for arnold if he delivered the "lamentations of the women" speech from conan at every campaign stop. even so he's inelgible for the presidency.

so to answer the question.... i'd vote bush over, say, tom delay.

amateurist (amateurist), Tuesday, 9 September 2003 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 03:47 (twenty-two years ago)

joke answer: a water cooler, my coffee mug

serious answers: ronald reagan and richard nixon. poppy bush automatically disqualified because he spawned dubya (though i think dubya is more a momma's boy, and his momma is a first-class bitch).

Tad (llamasfur), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 07:18 (twenty-two years ago)

idi amin and pol pot, if they were still alive.

Tad (llamasfur), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 07:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i'd also vote for hanle y, but i think that he's too busy being God to stoop to being President. what's america when you've got the cosmos to worry about?

Tad (llamasfur), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 07:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually seeing as how I recently wondered what candidate would use Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as a campaign song and Arnie now has

interestingly enough, Dee Snider supported Gore in 2000. dunno any of his other political views, though. and yes, i'd vote for Dee Snider over Dubya.

Tad (llamasfur), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 07:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Sparrow/Barbossa in 04!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 10 September 2003 09:50 (twenty-two years ago)
