I am goign to start it over the weekend and i am scared shitless. I have read the flounder but my mother ( who did her thesis on finnegans wake) said it was too diffucult for her to finnish. So anyways what do y'all think, any tips ?

I quite enjoyed it, but it seemed to just hop from chapter to chapter without a satisfying conclusion.

I remember liking the 'Niobe' chapter and the kid's scream, but other than that it just drifted by without me getting a grip on it.

I loved it. No reason to be scared of it. A much easier read than Joyce that's for sure (I'm scared of Finnegan's Wake, me!)

A masterpiece - makes all other New Romantic crap look like trifling, rhythmically stunted piffle. Muscular enough to shove aside all of Sylvian's later work, yet with a lighter-than-air textural touch thanks to the amazing work of Karn and Jansen.
