Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 11 September 2003 22:51 (twenty-two years ago)

'and yer dad who's also your brother' < /alan partridge>

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 September 2003 23:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Without positrons we'd have no ILX!

Ricardo (RickyT), Thursday, 11 September 2003 23:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't cross the streamers!

robster (robster), Friday, 12 September 2003 10:32 (twenty-two years ago)

ISTR there was a "reverse the polarity" in Teacher's the other day. Most boring experiment I ever did at college: playing with an oscilloscope to measure the enery from electron/positron annihilation. Which has the potential to SOUND great, obv, but isn't.

Alan (Alan), Friday, 12 September 2003 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I reckon Stevem was watching BBC2 last night.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 12 September 2003 11:09 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem (blueski), Friday, 12 September 2003 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

How weird. There was an OU show about anti-matter at about 12.30am. I felt sure this had sparked the thread off. Ker-azzeee!

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 12 September 2003 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

excuse my sarcasm (tho i'm not even sure that's what it was) Dave, yes i was watching the Learning Zone late last night!

stevem (blueski), Friday, 12 September 2003 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

can the counter-culture exist without anti-matter?

robster (robster), Friday, 12 September 2003 11:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Yay! LZ fans unite. Have you seen 'The Arch Never Sleeps'? I think is this is my favourite TV programme of all. Closely followed by one on the engineering developments in Cathedral construction in the 13th century. Pure gold.

I'm serious, BTW.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 12 September 2003 11:34 (twenty-two years ago)
