Is ILX still slightly messed up?

New answers function playing up a bit, occasionally very very slow.

ILX is still slightly messed up.
Order of repairs is:
1) Broken (but minor) parts of the system.
2) Work new answers/search functions.
3) World Domination.

what if we had a donation box for ilx system memory, better rack space, etc?

i'd throw in some.

ILX has a perfectly nice rack as it is.

I had some problems with the search function.

Every now and then I look at the admins "processes" page when things looks slow and there does seem to be an increased use of the ILX search. I cannot prove this with science though.

That is the current line of thought Alan. We've been a bit distracted by various people/issues.

It seems a little like the New Answers page is being cached, like it used to be for a while on Greenspun.

New Answers does tend to take its time - now and again.
