Carnies vs. Circus Folk

do these groups struggle to coexist peacefully? it is my theory that classism has created a divide between them. carnies are looked down upon as trashy ruffians by the circus folk, who are in turn viewed as elitists who don't know how to party by the carnies. any opinions on this age old conflict?
