Eisenhower was the last president that hadn't previously held political office, correct?

Some people must be shitting their pants right about now.

Kerry (dymaxia), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Some people must be shitting their pants right about now.

Dean or Bush?

Girolamo Savonarola, Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Howard Dean
will make a wonderfully
great vice-president

Haikunym (Haikunym), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I would assume that if dean wins he would pick clark and VP and vice versa. At least I would hope so in my insane utopian dreams.

Clark and Dean's campaigns seem hella fond of each other and at this point I'm having trouble imagining a pres. ticket without both of 'em.

And Clark ruuuuuuuun, he run so far awaaaaaaaaaay...

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

four months pass...
I have just seen this on yahoo news:

On the trail, Kerry was joined by retired Gen. Wesley Clark (news - web sites), who offered his endorsement after ending his own campaign earlier in the week.

"Request permission to come aboard; the Army's here," said Clark, a reference to Kerry's service as a Naval officer during the Vietnam War.

And I was moved - yes, moved.

"Request permission to come aboard; the Army's here,"

this sounds like the intro to a really stomping dance track

amateur!st (amateurist), Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:20 (twenty-one years ago)

it sounds like the ending to a really cheesy romantic epic starring ben affleck

pete s, Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe Ben Affleck could run for President.
