People who throw stuff from tall buildings: assholes or scamps?

About a half-hour ago, I nearly had my head split open thanx to some unseen person throwing eggs and a glass bottle in my general direction from a high floor of an apartment building.

I'm not shaken or anything, just more curious about who would do such a thing, and how certain they could be about not getting caught. (I've got Law & Order on the brain.) (Oh, and hey, this is the first crime committed against since I started living in New York!)

Once I was walking down the street and someone threw some books out the window. One of them was I book I had been wanting to read! So I took it.

At least people don't throw pee out windows anymore.

Or do they? Eww.

depends on what they throw i spose, and if it hurts when it hits. a glass bottle is not good, a book you have been wanting to read is just fine. ( unless its really heavy and causes head injury ).

Sounds like you had a rough childhood, Trayce.

I don't mind people who toss feathers or dust from buildings.

In college, I had a friend who lived above a local bar, and we'd throw popcorn down on the especially drunk people. That was from the second floor though.

Weird, someone was just throwing eggs down onto Goswell Road last week. Everyone in close vicinity was startled out of their skins for a mo but we all immediately pretended that we saw eggs exploding into the sidewalk every day, and that this was not a particularly worthy display. Try harder, ass-scamps!

Was it a reference to Ass Camps?

what are those blue flattened egg-looking plastic containers for? (something like tictacs?)

anyway, i've twice seen grown-ups throw them out of the top-floor window of the bus (like they might sweetie wrappers, except these are pretty solid)

(one of them bounced off the hood of a car)

Someone threw water balloons at me once. I bet those would hurt if thrown from height too.
