Now as you all know, we are soon to be moving into a new house, so I'd like some tips! What do you think? Should we go space age or what?

you need marble bathrooms with gold taps and porcelain leopards for a start

Uh huh, give me more, I want pics!

You need big black iron railings and a tasteless Venus de Milo in your front garden as well.

Just never bother decorating, people will think you are trend setters and you'll save money.

Or she could just throw together a lot of really old pieces of furniture and tapestries and fabrics and whatnot and just sign herself up to the apparently hot trend of the "distressed country farmhouse" look that seems to still be big among a lot of people.

Uh, no. That sounds horrible.

Hm. You know, I *was* going to suggest Wal-Mart to save on money (if you don't know by now that I'm a big penny-pincher, you never will *wink*) but then I remembered you're overseas and I can't expect Wal-Mart to be ALL over the darned globe, so hm.

But you just know that whatever we say it's all going to go Ikea...

(No diss to you and James, Pink, it's just this is what everybody's house looks like once you escape Rented Brown.)

Rip off these ideas because who the hell can afford them! Actually, go to the library and check out some books on decorating...there's usually one good idea per book. The last one I saw had the idea of making candlesticks out of metal pipes and big nuts! (nuts like nuts & bolts, sickos)

haha, it's funny, an ikea catalogue came through the door the day after we found out about the house. It's like fate or something!!

That is so awesomely insanely genius. I think I just came and vomited at the same time.

It's great, esp the stairs. I will see what J thinks!
