kerry:"I've been covering up gray with dark dye, though, and I haven't noticed any breakage."

why cover up?

grey hair is clearly amazing.

the silver fox look is absolutely of the NOW.

although i notice that grey hairs grow faster than others....any science behind this?

so grey hairs = klassik

but people who have known me for 2 years suddenly saying one day, "hey ambrose did you know youre going grey?>.........." = DUD as fuk....

sorry i broke the one post a day rule. blame the analysis of the russian mass media: the disagreement between NTV and Gazprom. man that shit is boring as....

ambrose, Thursday, 27 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I guess it looks okay on some people, but it helps if you're older. My cousin is like 36 and he's at least half gray... if I were him I'd dye it. I still haven't gotten any, and I'm glad, but I won't die (dye?) when I do.

Sean, Thursday, 27 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, as one person told me: "you look really young for your age...except for the gray hair". I don't have all that much gray, so it just stands out. I'll wait until it's all gray, and then I'll get the silver rinse.

people going gray with shiny brown/gold/gray/white hair are beautiful.

Maria, Thursday, 27 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

On ILE there are no rules

anthony, Thursday, 27 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Grey hair is only permissable in one place, and that is just above the ears.

Reed Richards, dude. Classic.

Al, Thursday, 27 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I woudl say go Gray. look at Steve Martin: he was in PARENTHOOD! A CLASSIC!

Grey hair is classic. It should be embraced! I once considered doing a Robert Forster and dyeing my hair grey. But I fear I would look a bit odd

This thread has made me feel so much better, especially after the stick I've been receiving lately. My grey is encroaching rapidly.

chris, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I always thought I would let myself just go grey. Of course I didn't plan on having it happen in my twenties. . . My grey roots are showing. should I dye again or just let them be?

Samantha, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Dye if it makes you feel better. My girlfriend's hair would be more than 50% grey if she didn't dye. It wouldn't worry me, but it really freaks her out..

electric sound of jim, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's not grey hair, it's a solar panel on a sex machine. No, wait....

DV, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

For all I know, I might be salt-n-peppering bigtime, but I've been bleachin' my hair for over three years, so who knows. I'm start to salt-n-pepper very slightly on my facial hair, though.. and I don't mind it a bit.

I get those pesky grey nose hairs. I pluck them out every so often.

I love the badger stripes in my beard. Actually part of the reason I grew out the beard (main reason: wife said, and I quote, "I kind of like the full Jesus.")

Can't wait until the head hair starts to silver up. Probably gonna have to wait till late 40s though

El Tomboto, Friday, 15 July 2016 23:12 (nine years ago)

im quite self-conscious about my appearance but having a reasonable amount of grey hair in my early 30s doesn't bother me at all.

jim in vancouver, Friday, 15 July 2016 23:14 (nine years ago)

Want to see pics of Brian with a lustrous head of bleached hair now.

Shakey δσς (sic), Friday, 15 July 2016 23:33 (nine years ago)

pray every night that the smattering of grey on the front of my head will eventually congeal into a full sontag stripe

Most of my grey is in my beard or my temples, both of which I assiduously shave each day, so who knows. Plenty of strands throughout my hair in general, but that's about it, no patch or anything.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 15 July 2016 23:52 (nine years ago)

I've got plenty of grey in the hair I have left, but my beard going mostly gray was a welcome development. Gray hair on my face means less five o'clock shadow.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 15 July 2016 23:59 (nine years ago)

it is not grey or gray it's silver + it's precious

schlump, Saturday, 16 July 2016 00:29 (nine years ago)

I've developed white streaks in the beard area really quickly, like in the past six months. Went home on 4th of July and my brothers and cousins and friends had all gone grey or greyer since last I saw them. Everyone is old, man, what's up with that.

Night Jorts (Old Lunch), Saturday, 16 July 2016 02:55 (nine years ago)

38 and slightly greying here, which is probably better than what I could have hoped for since my dad had been completely grey for years by the time he was my age. I've considered colouring, but my husband claims to think its sexy so whatever.
