so my room mate eats breakfast all the fucking time, so i find myself having toast or eggs or bacon or oatmeal or cold ceral, which is really fucking strange cause i dont ever eat breakfast.

which makes me slightly queasy and ill all day, and deeply hungry at lunch and ravenous at dinner.

as well since i have gotten used to morning hunger i now need to eat then.

plus im working night shifts on the weekend, which means im nibblish,
and i have no money at all for 9 days.

how do i stop this cycle of good eating ?

Drink lots of water, anthony. Sometimes you have an attack of the munchies so you eat something - but in fact you aren't really hungry at all, and what your body wants is liquid. If you drink a couple of litres of water a day, it cuts down on the hunger pangs and it's very very good for you.

also drink lots of coffee. it always seems to take away hunger for me if i don't have time to eat. and the water thing also, although i hate the feeling of taking a big drink of water on an empty stomach and feeling it go all the way down my throat and land in my belly. it seems disgusting!

I love that feeling. When I was a kid I used to chug like a half gallon of water and then jump up and down and listen to it going "SLOSH SLOSH" in meh belleh.

Oh but I totally know what you're saying Anthony. Lately I've been eating lunches so huge that I'm not hungry at dinner time and end up skipping it and maybe opting for a little snack later. This has actually helped me sleep better too, as my body's done digested all that food already, there's less work for it to do.

yes, a bit of food in the morning, a big lunch and a light dinner is best for your body, although it does make you want to take a nap in the afternoon. Oatmeal is cheap, so are rice and beans, do that!

I couldn't live without breakfast, but it does seem to mean that you get hungrier mid morning! *sigh*

I eat pop tarts. Cheap. Somewhat tasty. And coffee. That's on the menu just about every morning at work.
On the weekends I eat at coffee shops and diners. Yum.

I'm cooking for Nick and I all this week. A little taste of domesticity for the hell of it. Sunday night I made a morrocan veggie and lentil entree with lemon poppy seed muffins and grapes. Last night I made falafel with pita, hummus, salad, raw carrots, and feta. If only I had a cute apron...

the last thing i want to do right when i wake up is EAT. it takes at least a few hours for me to work up an apetite. maybe thats because i usually have a decent sized meal right before i go to bed.

for breakfast, ill have a banana.

I couldn't find a picture of a cute apron for you, Sarah. I found this though :

Ah, thanks, CJ. THat looks very DIY.

I would really like a retro apron.

yes, a bit of food in the morning, a big lunch and a light dinner is best for your body

I've actually tried to settle into this pattern myself -- a bread roll and orange juice in the morning, an apple midmorning, a fuller lunch of something midday, a dinner of maybe some pita and hummus, a small bit of soup, fresh tomatoes when possible. Works pretty well, let's see if I can maintain it and introduce a bit more variety as I go.
