Dreams About Comedy

Last night I had a dream that I had found a tape of Chris Morris' TV debut. In real life, he apparently appeared in a series of 5 minute between-programmes inserts called "Feedback Report" on BSB in 1990. In my dream, however, it was actually more akin to a slightly edgier "Bobby Davro On The Box" or "Russ Abbott's Madhouse", with a studio audience, wacky characters ala Basildon Bond/Cooperman, and a big musical number at the end.

Tell me about any dreams you had related to comedians or comedy shows...

I dreamt of a syndicated newspaper comic strip called Squalid Dog - I had to google it to check it was an original title and I hadn't just remembered such a thing. Unfortunately, in my head, Squalid Dog looks unoriginally like a giant parallelepiped version of Moog from Willo The Wisp, he sort of fills the frame making it easy to draw, see.

Last night I dreamt that I was visiting Corden and Horne (yeah, I know - comedy) where they live together in central Birmingham and they insisted we all go (by bus) and see their best friend Aphex Twin. So we all went by bus to this huge warehouse place where Aphex lived and after proving our worth by answering questions about what early Aphex records we owned we were allowed in to see him. His apartment was full of alcoves painted different colours and filled with odd bits and pieces. He explained that he was mostly doing art these days. Unfortunately I screwed up the whole thing by repeatedly called Aphex "Joe" for some reason and I was asked to leave by one of his assistants. Corden and Horne refused to leave with me (starfcking bastids) so I was stuck on the outskirts of Birmingham with no money asking people for some money and trying to find out which bus to catch.

Mention of him in politics thread prompted me to remember I dreamt I met Larry David last night. It was a crowded public place, maybe a supermarket or Target? I reflexively blurted out OMG ITS LARRY DAVID!! Other ppl around got excited and started swarming around him. He was insisting he wasn't Larry David, in a very comical Larry David way. I played along but then whispered to him "seriously tho I love your comedy" or something and he seemed sincerely flattered. Good guy, that Larry.
