Fizzy rules:

Search: Diet DP, Coke, Fresca (grapefruit flavored), RC and, yep, Big Red. Love it.

Destroy: Pepsi, all varieties; diet Coke; Anything orange-flavored, bleh; sprite/7up--reminds me of being sick.

Samantha, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ting is better than Fresca. WHY destroy Dr. Pepper?? You must be from Arkansas.

search: NEHI GRAPE

Tracer Hand, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Search: any prune flavored fizz: Mr. Pibb, Dr. Pepper, Dr. Joe, etc.

Destroy: anything soda flavored with banana, strawberry, key lime, or orange cream. I don't mind the real things, but they don't work as atomic "soda flavor additives". Hurl hurl hurl. Cough medicine tasting soda = dud

Brian MacDonald, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

..though I'll add that Italian sodas with some of the above flavors can be good, if made right.

Brian MacDonald, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Search: dr. pepper, mt. dew, any strawberry or grape flavored soda, cream soda, club soda, everything Stewarts makes

Destroy: Pepsi, 7-up/sprite/storm/stress/whatever unless mixed with lots of whiskey.

Coke over Pepsi, but the new Lady Coca Cola is ghastly.

Kris, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Lady Coca Cola? wtf?

Samantha, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mr pibb - classic. a drink of refinement and sophistication, much better than dr. pepper and consequently nearly impossible to find in my area. boo berry is easier to find, damn it.

your null fame, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sarsi is the Mr Pibb of the Phillippines.

Kris, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Friday, 28 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

& anything creaming soda flavoured
Not fizzy drinks stuff but on a related topic, here in Dunedin we have a milkshake flavour called Protein Cream, do they have that anywhere else?

duane, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

search: ginger beer, irn bru, dandelion and burdock, ribena

destroy: Thumbs Up, Mirinda, pepsi

Ed, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think there was a previous thread about sodas...
The thing about them is they're way overpriced and they don't really quench your thirst that well, I mean iced iea or lemonade's better, and there's a stronger caffeine buzz from iced coffee.

Maybe I'm just cheap, I throw cold tea + coffee into the fridge for later.

Search: Diet Coke with lemon (I know a woman completely addicted to Diet Coke, she is never without a bottle in her hand or her bag), Idris Ginger Beer, D+G Pineapple soda, Ting.
Destroy: Diet Pepsi, has a nasty aftertaste.

Is Irn Bru a hangover cure because it glows in the dark and you can find it more easily when you wake up in the middle of the night parched? It's ok , but only if cold.
Do they still have Pop Shoppes in Canada? I think it was a chain, you brought all your empties back to the store for recycling.

Lesley Higgins, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I live on Summer Fruits Oasis, and WAHEY the whole Uni campus is covered in Oasis machines. Also Diet Coke=Better than Coke, possibly because/why it was used as the basis for New Coke (allegedly better than Classic Coke, nbut failed cuz new).

Graham, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dr Pepper is the BEST fizzy drink ever and I shall spit in the eye of anyone who disagrees with me. It is fantastic and I don't really see why the even bother making any other drinks. There's no point, Dr Pepper have won, give up.

Apart from Dr Pepper, I'd say that Cherry Coke and plain old Pepsi are well worth the 50p.

I can't really think of any I'd want destroyed. Maybe Irn Bru.

jamesmichaelward@yahoo.co.uk, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

anthony, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ANYONE IN THIS BITCH LIKE FRANK'S?

(or is that just a Philadelphia thang?)

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

one year passes...
MR PIBB ROX U R ALL SO VERY VERY GAY

(WTF is up with 'normal' Pibb being replaced by Pibb Extra? Has this happened everywhere or just in my locale? It's still pretty fucking good but the party in mouth has become a get-together)

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 14:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Mr Pibb DOES rock. And they released a press release a few ... sometimes ... ago, saying Pibb Extra, which apparently did really well in their regional market-testing, would be replacing straight-up Pibb.

The best thing about going to the movie theater is getting Mr Pibb, since I live in one of the otherwise Pibbless states.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

DAMN YOU MARKET TESTING! FROM WHAT FOUL BEAST DID YOU SPAWN?

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

But if it catches on, it means more Pibbmania for all!

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 15:05 (twenty-two years ago)

True, perverted Pibb is better than no Pibb at all

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 15:09 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the Pizzibble.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

four months pass...
I'm a secret lemonade drinker, goddamit.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 30 August 2003 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm scared to try Pibb XTra. I'm not sure I can take extra pibb. There was already plenty in the original.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 30 August 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Search: Diet Coke (I'm so addicted the last time I tried a regular Coke the cinnamon note was overpowering), ginger ale.
Destroy: Diet Coke w/Lemon...a squeeze of genuine lemon juice in soda can be good. This stuff tastes more like lemon-oil furniture polish.
