Anyone watch this bcz I think this australian soap is triffic: its on C4 at 12:30 tonight (another decision that makes me want to kill whoever it is that decides the time slots).

There are some crappy bits and characters i don't like but its worth it for Evan and Alex: they won't acknowledge the 'deep' feelings they have for one another so the tension between those two is really great to watch.

I used to watch it but it either went away or I just lost touch with it (can't remember which) but suddenly its been screening again and good on channel 4 for doing it.

Was watching it last year, when I was still living in London. Hated that time slot, too....sometimes ended up struggling to stay awake at the end! Is this the second or third series?

it went downhill right after joel edgerton left.

I was obsessed with the first series - it was amazing. So I was gutted when the second series went really shit about 1/3 of the way through, a la Popular's second series. I just had this feeling that the writers changed, or they were pressured to "do issues"... like all that drawn out crud about Nathan not wanting to get serious with Kelly because she isn't Jewish - really tedious. It also seemed to go on forever and ever - after about 14 eps I dropped out.

I didn't even know there was a third series, but I wouldn't hold out much hope that it was worth watching.

yeah there were different writers involved after the first series (they were underprepared for its success). the third series is genuinely worse than the second and no patch on the first

angus (does he post here btw?) has a point regarding the voiceover. Like i said, there are many crap bits but it is very watchable.
