Bank Card, Uni Card (new with dodgy picture where my hair sticks out), Student Card, Tube Ticket from London (for some reason), Daft Punk Daft Club card, 400 French Francs I've been meaning to change, 30 pounds Irish I've been meaning to drink. A lump of tinfoil containing marijuana, a few pictures of friends and girls, some old bus tickets, a hairband belonging to someone, I forget who.

Ronan, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

$15, a few coins, probably a couple of old receipts or other wadded up useless papers.

Maria, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Picture of smiling flower in flowerpot drawn by drunk American.

Two coupons for music store in city where I no longer live (and they're expired anyway); copy card for Iowa State library; phone card; three more coupons for aforementioned music store; card from ACLU detailing what I should do if I am stopped by the police; stamp card for central Iowa Disc-Go-Round stores, with two stamps on it; scrap of paper with something that might be a phone number on it; card for my parents' long distance service, now defunct; two Subway stamps; one ATM receipt; stamp card for coffeehouse in Ames, with three stamps on it; Iowa State student ID slash ATM card for a bank account I'm no longer using; eight ATM receipts; U of M student ID slash bank card; six ATM receipts; one dollar; one ATM receipt; one dollar; card for Video Update in Ames; thirty more Subways stamps which I don't know how I got since I have barely eaten at Subway in a year and a half, so they must have been given to me by my mom; Iowa State student health insurance card; account number card for bank account I no longer use; instruction card for remote operation of my digital answering machine, which was ruined last spring when my apartment flooded; stamp card for CD Warehouse in Des Moines, with six stamps on it; paper with calling card numbers and voice mail numbers written on it in my mom's handwriting, for the first, and my dad's, for the second, probably from the time I was stuck on a plane home from Texas for three hours after the flight computer crashed, but before the plane took off, which delayed my trip enough that I was unsure if I would get home that day, thus the emergency phone numbers; piece of paper with notes about a hotel I thought I would stay at for Christmas break during my freshman year, and also a list of people to buy Christmas presents for, and my parents' address and phone number; folded-up piece of legal pad paper with letter from my mom claiming that I had permission to use the credit card I possessed at the time (not sure if that would have worked at all); receipt of stipend payment from National Merit Scholarship Corporation; R. Robert Hentzel business card; Dave Dorman business card; phone number of ex-girlfriend's mom; Amoco gas card and motor club card, exp 1997; coupon for aforementioned music store, with my current phone number written on the back; punch card from Blimpie, wiht one punch; my own business card from the job I had 5 years ago; business card from a guy who wanted me to write software with him; phone number, maybe Des Moines local?; beeper and cell numbers for coworkers and computer alarm at aforementioned job; dead phone card; depleted phone card; canceled credit card; active credit card; Iowa driver's license; high school diploma card; social security card.

Now my wallet has a big bulge from where most of this shit used to be.

Josh, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Drivers lisence, green card, ATM card, my mum's LL Bean Platinum Visa (for emergencies only, but the last emergency I was in, it didn't bloody WORK), a phone card, receipts, business cards from some great record shops in NYC (Other Music and Etheria, I think...) and some flyers with song lyrics scribbled on the back of them. No money, I spent it all on bloody cabs yesterday. Did I mention how much my bloody back hurts? I've stopped keeping interesting or cool stuff in my wallet cause it keeps getting stolen.

£6.83, Uni Card (replacement, original lost within 24 hours of getting it - Alas no prize), Switch Card, Young Person's Railcard (picture of me looking fantastically miserable, yet I always think I'm smiling), silly electronic tag for opening campus gates.

I've also discovered I still have a tiny note from 3 years+ ago, from a girly in my english class (I'd recently sprained my neck):
"hi Gray, how are you? how's you're happy and well [heart] Liz x". Worth treasuring I'm sure.

Graham, Saturday, 29 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

In my grubby Chococat wallet I HAF:

debit card! credit card! preston library card! Since Friday night, I now have a STUDENT DISCOUNT FABULOUS Yellow Card (despite not being a stewdent CHEERS for bored bar stuff who accept yr expired ISIC card!), a purple star some people started giving us at the ICA after a hard night*, a scribbled note with where to pay my rent to, and an old Oxford tube ticket. There is also some MONEY but I cannot be arsed to count it. It's enuff for BUS FARE tomorrow anyway.

Now if you would have said whats in yr BAG, that would be much more exciting. Boys, how can you keep all that stuff just in one wallet??

*It was a very hard night - Tommy and I needed a drink. We bought a bottle of wine and decided we'd drink it sitting on the steps facing Buckingham Palace. However, his wine opener fucked up. WE COULD NOT OPEN IT. In the end we smashed it against a statue of Queen Victoria and stomped away in a huff. THE FILTH never even batted an eyelid! Anarchy! Off we went to the ICA for Mojitos and free champers.

Money, some overseas bills, cards for this and that. I refuse to go over everything exhaustively. ;-) The most important things in it are my ATM/check card, my bus pass, my California ID card and the aforementioned money.
