13th anniversary of German reunification. Surely you've got your groove on. Describe.

I saw that on my calendar! It's quite exciting! I'm going away for the weekend and am pretending it's in honor of the Germans.

In Berlin this year, for the first time, there's no official celebration. The city is broke. It's like no fireworks on the Mall on the 4th of July in Washington or nothing happening on Guy Fawkes Day in London. :(

zum Wohl!

Schade.. I'll try to find some Erdinger this evening.

I should go to a German restaurant tonight, except German food is a bit much for me.

You want to drink a Bavarian beer to commemorate a Prussian revolution? Tsk tsk. Go look for Berliner Kindl instead.

Yeah, that's a problem. But there's always Becks, Spaten, Pilsner Urquell, etc., or Riesling from the Mosel, and Goodbye Lenin. Or maybe, since summer is over now, Goodbye Linen! Just wear a linen shirt and drink a beer and demand that everyone be organized. That should be celebration enough!

I will kiss every member of the house of Brandenburg I see this weekend!

Well Pilsner Urquell would be pretty routine, me living in the Czech Republic and all...
Alternatively, I could take out all my RAF paraphernilia and start some mischief against the Reunited Swines..

Fabrice (Fabfunk), Friday, 3 October 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Hm! I was just listening to a Die Sterne CD but had no idea that I was commemorating anything.

Pilsner Urquell

Whoops! Well, the words are German. Drinking P.U. celebrates, I suppose, when the borders of the Reich were a bit more...extensive...than they are today.
