For example, for me:

I live in Marlborough Road, Oxford. My mother was born in Marlborough Road, London N22 and lived there for the first 18 months of her life.

I was born on 17th October, as were both of my paternal grandparents.

Give examples from yr own lives.

I have these between me & my boy's family, although they seem pretty lame! I have the same birthday (23rd Feb) as his little sister & his mum's b/day is the same as my best friends.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 07:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I've grew up in the same house as my mum and dad and my sisters (who have the same mum as me!).

Wow!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 07:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I grew up in N's house, but I lived behind the skirting board.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 08:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I fornicated w/ the same women that N's dad did...wait, I am N's dad!!

It was something I was saying last night, it's funny that there are only romantic relationships between people on ILX. As in, nobody's father/daugther/sister is also on.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 08:39 (twenty-one years ago)

there are only romantic relationships between people on ILX

That might read funny: obviously there's also fucking.

I have two male cousins who share my birthday (I only have about 10 cousins total). One is 5 years younger and the other is 15 years younger.
My mom and I had the same music teacher in school. We didn't go to the same school--she grew up in a different. Pretty big coincidence in an area with as many schools/teachers as Chicago.

I guess it wouldn't really surprise anyone here if I revealed that Ned is actually my third cousin, 87 times removed. Somehow one of the branches around his side of the family tree started getting more pasty and lost their pigmentation.[I think it has to do w/ diet, but don't tell him I said that.] No one knows where the hair came from though. Oh, and I sometimes call Di "mummy" but thats not what I think you meant

Vic (Vic), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 08:47 (twenty-one years ago)

There are two sisters on ILE.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 09:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes. Yes, you're right. Er.... Also I'm my evil twin brother, which is why I didn't think of that.

(oh bollocks)

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

and a father and daughter have both posted (admittedly the daughter only a couple of times while drunk)

chris (chris), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Also FatNick and DG, in times past. And Frank And Richard Kogan.

Ricardo (RickyT), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I've pointed out ILx to my brothers but (luckily for them) they don't care. My Dad is the only other message board geek in the family, but he only likes to talk about guns and dogs.

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 09:34 (twenty-one years ago)

BurmaKitty, her exhusband, and their daughter all posted.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 11:20 (twenty-one years ago)

My mother and her (only) sister share a birthday, 7 years apart. On my mother's side of the family, for the last several generations, everyone has either had no children or two children, and if they had two children they were both of the same sex. (Oh, wait, I guess my cousin just screwed that last part up, never mind.)

Chris P (Chris P), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I recently lived in the same apartment building I was conceived in. It was information I didn't need to know.

Girolamo Savonarola, Tuesday, 7 October 2003 23:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I was adopted. My biological father is Italian-American; my adopted parents were in Venice when I was born.

That's all I got. Oh wait, and when I was a kid, I thought it was highly significant that although my brother and I are adopted from different families, he's a second-child both adoptively and biologically (he has an older biological sibling), because it proved he was destined to be a pain in the ass or something. Now I just think it's odd that he knows he has another sibling around somewhere, given my perpetual ambivalence about tracking down my parent(s).

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 8 October 2003 00:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I share my B-Day with my great nephew Josh...
He asked me a question when he was four, that has stayed with me.
He said"Auntie, if we have the same birthday, how come we're not the same old? "

I moved to Melbourne 10 years ago, and moved into a street across the road from St Kilda Cemetary. At one point, I moved away from that street and was living just off High St prahran.

I've since found out (and never knew this before) that many rellos from my Grandad's side of the family were not only from Melbourne, but grew up in the Prahran/Windsor/St Kilda area, got married in the church 5 mins from my Prahran house, and many are buried in the cemetary across the road from me. I never even knew any of the family were from Melbourne at all, as no one is currently.

Its as if I were drawn here. Weird.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 8 October 2003 02:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh yeah: a little while after moving to Bloomington, I found out that relatives I've barely spoken to in the last 20 years -- my father's sister & family (her husband is dean of Depauw) -- have a summer home here.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 8 October 2003 02:55 (twenty-one years ago)

This doesn't involve me, but my uncle died--unexpectedly--on the same bed on which he was born. Talk about circle of life.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 8 October 2003 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

A relative of mine slept with a member of a band that I interviewed.
