Don't you wish your job were as important as hauling trash?

The garbageprimates of Chicago are on strike, and it's really starting to stink around here. Daley, give 'em anything they want. My crystal balls say: a Trashmen's Palace will soon replace the Tribune Tower.

They should pay those guys a million dollars a year.

I am suspicious about the *lack* of smell in my alleyway. I live right behind a Japanese restaurant. Where do they throw the fish guts?

There's a huge trash hill here in B-brook which has been sealed--it's actually part of a forest preserve now wtf?--, but in a week or so I'm gonna re-open that mofo and just start dumping stuff on top.

I want to live in Chicago some day.

24 hours later: is that the smell of fish guts?

I don't know if you were joking, but it is really smelling foul outside. I didn't see any local news tonight, but I drove by a sign that said it ended.

Jesus christ, I'm useless. If I went on strike tomorrow the city would probably stink LESS. But yes, you're right, the whole city now smells just as bad as the lake. I'm searching for a metaphor here but it's too obvious, you know? As the Cubs move on in the playoffs, the scent of postindustrial decadence chokes the air...
