According to an article on Reuters, Christophe Ramboz recently told French daily Les Echos: "A third of the source code was stolen. It's serious because it forces us to delay the launch of the game by at least four months, that is to April 2004. Just the time to rewrite parts of the game."
Here's the Reuters' article
Fuckin' asshat code thieves. I was so looking forward to this, too. Even if this is just an excuse to delay the game, i'm pissed.
Guess I better blow my money on "The Wind Waker", instead.

Not that I care overly much, aside from on the trivia-level. I have an old computer and minimal interest in games these days.

I've got the source, and it's genuine. There's a bittorrent of the playable release with something like 10,000 seeds. Biggest. Torrent. Ever.

they've announced the voice cast for the game!
Robert "Benson" Guillaume will play Dr. Eli Vance, a benevolent scientist and fellow survivor of the first Half-Life's infamous Black Mesa incident. Vance's assistant, Dr. Judith Mossman, will be portrayed by Michelle Forbes, most famous for her role as Ensign Ro on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Vance's daughter, Alyx, will be voiced by unknown actress Merle Dandridge. British actor Jim French will play Father Grigori, a booby-trap-happy priest who helps Gordon through the streets of City 17...

I wouldn't trust any speculation on the matter, most comments about possible release schedules seem to come from Doug Lombardi, who seems to have a very distant connection with the actual development team as most of his projected dates seem to fit in only with 'what customers/shareholders want to believe'.
One of the best truths with big-name games is not to get too excited about them until gold is announced.
