I need the exact caloric value of raw carob (pod). Tried googling it but it only comes up with carob-related products.

you do realise that your thread title excludes 99.9999999999% of the population?

I'm sure they do, but they're speaking to the 00.0000000001% out there, so be nice.

carob really sucks. my mum used to make me eat so called 'carob coated biscuits', which were like a really shitty version of chocolate hobnobs. she didnt think i should eat chocolate and the weirdy organic guy suggested the dreaded carob. i wonder if you can still get them. io mean, i dont even know wtf a 'carob' is or are. some sort of pop? like vanilla?

me me me! SERIOUSLY I often find myself getting really upset that carob doesn't totally trump out chocolate - everything chocolate should be carob instead. And carob stuff (EVERYTHING) should come without sugar or other sweeteners. YUM YUM it is a divine thing.

Carob powder is usually used as a substitute for cocoa (it's essentially a poor man's chocolate), so yes it sorta of sucks if you're expecting a choco-like flavour. Dried carob pods on the other hand are deliciously hard treats enjoyed equally by greek goods and peasants through centuries. I still haven't found their caloric value, though.

i love the way that key is obviously there to give a sense of scale, but it could be like, a really tiny key.

proof that carob is an irrevelance: you cant get it anywhere. at least not in the uk.
