"Inspired Comm. Firm Seeks Help in Blowing Up" or Ridiculous Want Ads

I've been out of a job for almost five months now, and I look at job postings and help wanted ads every day. They're usually ridiculous, but every once in a while you see one, such as the title of the thread, that really takes the case.

What are the silliest postings you've seen? And what are the most ludicrous things that have happened to you while looking for a job?

takes the cake, I mean.

Anyway, tell some funny stories so I don't feel so bad about being out of work. Thanks.

Once I saw a long, descriptive ad for a gravedigger. I wish I still had it. It was at least as twice as long as most job ads.

And then there are always the sales jobs that say stuff like "We're looking for someone with Limp Bizkit attitude."

I got an e-mail the other day (in response to a craigslist post) from somebody asking if I'd like to volunteer (with a possible pay option) for "holistic prostatic therapy" - as described online: "Pressure is applied to various areas of the exterior urethral prostate and urethra to alleviate pressure and congestion in the prostate. Training is paid daily by the client. (This position is not for an applicant that is offended by working in view of male genitalia)."

The person's e-mail address was "high_on_life@****.com"

(Not that such work is unimportant to those who need it, from those willing to do it.)
