This is my parents' dog, Dexter. He is evil.

One summer, after my bro graduated and lived at home, he taught Dexter all sorts of stupid tricks. This was one of them.

I also want this one:

And this one:

http://www.mulberryfarm.com/cocker_BU&W-male_Olive&Brandys-2_320x240.jpg

Please Mommy, please, can I have them all?

*giggles* Sorry about that. I'm just such a huge dog person that this thread has inspired all sorts of silliness and cooing on my end here. Julia, the two little doggies you've posted are so incredibly CUTE! I want to take those two home with me, as well as the ones I've already posted here.

Dalmations are the cutest dogs ever, as proven by science!

Spotted dogs are proof of the existence of god. Or rather, a god with a very silly sense of humour! I mean, SPOTTED DOGS!!! Come on.

(God may or may not be a very silly dog breeder, however.)

kate (kate), Thursday, 16 October 2003 09:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Dude, are those newborn puppies up there meant to be larger than life?

Cause if they start that size, they going to grow up to be DOGZILLA!!!

;-)

kate (kate), Thursday, 16 October 2003 09:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, oops! Sorry about that, can anyone re-size it?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 16 October 2003 09:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I have one basset artesien - Lucy. Basiel, her partner, died earlier this year. :-(( She's not sad though: she gets all the attention and cookies. Hence the fact she's also gained weight. My boyfriend wants an Irish Terrier.

nathalie (nathalie), Thursday, 16 October 2003 11:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Irish terriers are great.

Can anyone explain Mr. Winkle to me? I saw the calendar at the bookstore, but still was unable to figure out if it's a real dog or not. Is he on a kids show?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Sunday, 19 October 2003 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Mr. Winkle is a real dog alright. His owner has made quite a cottage industry out of his calendars and other stuff.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 03:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, GOD I love dogs! Kitty pictures are more popular on the internet I think cause the biggest allure of dogs is like playing with them and socializing and stuff. My anthropology teacher said something to the effect that because pretty much every hunter gatherer society has and has basically always had dogs they probably weren't domesticated so much as they just evolved right along with us humans for the last few tens of thousands of years (or maybe a lot longer).
