how long have you lived in the same neighbourhood?

do you think you'll grow old there?

do you know people by name? by face? would you notice if they moved away?

have you been in the same neighbourhood long enough to notice changes in it?

does it feel like home?

Same as Horace, only 15 years on and off.

I've lived in our neighborhood a little over 2 years now, and in this particular apartment for almost 2.

I am never sure if our downstairs neighbor is named Robert or Michael or something else. I just say "Hi" and leave it at that. It was a bit obvious though when I didn't introduce him to my mom when the three of us were out on the porch together.

I mostly know faces. It's comforting seeing the same people at the local video store all the time. And the little chinese boy who rides his bike from school to work in the restaurant about a block away.

how long have you lived in the same neighbourhood? 20 Years (same house, in fact).

do you think you'll grow old there? I already have. 8(

do you know people by name? by face? would you notice if they moved away? I know a few by name, a few more by face.

have you been in the same neighbourhood long enough to notice changes in it? It's surprisingly unchanged in that time, considering it's adjacent to the town's main street.

does it feel like home? Yeah, I guess it does. I've lived here longer than I've lived anywhere else.

I lived in my apartment for almost 1 year.
Im defently not growing old there.
I'm just passing through and have already had about 4 or 5 new neighbours and a couple of businesses move in and out in my little block. If I wasn't on the ground floor I'd consider staying another year but things change and I don't want to be in the north end of York anymore.

how long have you lived in the same neighbourhood?
About ten years.

do you think you'll grow old there?
Probably not. In fact, I highly doubt it.

do you know people by name? by face? would you notice if they moved away?
It's not a particularly close-knit neighborhood. I only know one set of neighbors. Though I WOULD notice if someone moved away.

have you been in the same neighbourhood long enough to notice changes in it?
*nods* Absolutely. The whole of the Southwest changes so fast that even if you were to live in a neighborhood for five years, you could name about four changes to the neighborhood, easily.

does it feel like home?
Oh, definitely. :)
