i'm going as slash this year.

my attempts at e.g. Nikki Sixx ended up more like Ian Astbury and everyone thought I was Slash. anyway, they were well-received.

some friends and i went as the new york dolls some years back. i was johnny thunders, but i was frequently mistaken for nikki sixx. my other favorite costume was varla from 'faster pussycat! kill! kill!'. someday i'd like to get a bunch of people to dress up as the major characters from 'beyond the valley of the dolls.'
