Early-to-mid nineties, horror film. Adults plus teenage boyfriend/girlf fly to possibly-abandoned high-tech(?) underground facility of unremembered use in desert. Boy and girl go to make out, get attacked by something, perhaps a vicious ill-tempered multated snake(?) or something in the ceiling, lots of running down long corridors with overhead wires/pipes (my only distinctly remembered fact), some people get killed.

Anyone help?

(Posting during uni lectures when boring moustached dullard "teacher" is speaking, ie Spouting Bollocks ("256 colour mode is more than enough" - WTF? He's teaching multimedia) - Classic or great?)

If I were given unfettered Internet access in a lecture hall at college, I would find myself on Academic Probation in no time. Again.

Movie doesn't ring a bell. Sounds like _Return of the Living Dead III_ (the one with the punk rock zombie chick on the box), but I don't remember the snake.

This indeed sounds a bit like Tremors. If it has some gore but also a light humorous tone than it must be Tremors. Does it also have a scene with gun-freaks shooting *every* gun they own on one of those worms?

No, definitely not Tremors. Think Tremors set in Doctor Evil's underground lare in the dark. And on refelection it probably wasn't a snake.
