"Researchers from NTT Docomo Multimedia Labs and NTT Microsystem Integration Labs in Japan have demonstrated a 10-megabits-per-second indoor network that uses human bodies as portable ethernet cables."

NTT DoCoMo's chairman said something to this effect at a recent telecomms conference - the choke point for telecommunications services of the future is the human-information interface, e.g. you can only access so much data through a little mobile screen. So of course the answer is to directly interface with the brain. Apparently they've been working on this. Between technology like this and the monkeys with the robot arms, all I have to say is HOT SHIT PASS THE FUTURE PLZ

the 13 year olds of 2025 will have no language barriers

Actually I was just thinking about how horrifying it would be to have AIM in your brain. Nevermind, I want nothing more to do with the future, the Japanese can have it.

We stand here pissing on the welcome mat in the entranceway to tomorrow's interdefinite perspectiveless cyberlife, tradition launching from the urethra of yesterday and dousing wooly good morning all the live long day in favor of faster! better! more! and though we're connected it's our disconnection that is winning. (that's a good thing)
