And is Mr. Ewing nominated? NO HE IS NOT. This contest is a fraud.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned, they're still asking for nominees! The people listed are the judges.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

then they will surely win!!

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Moby as a judge? I fear, somewhat.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

If there's a ceremony, he might touch you with his knob.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:45 (twenty-two years ago)

He can tell various colours, so he'll be better than those others. Want to bet the results will be fixed?;>

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

What the feck is THIS?!?!

adaml (adaml), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

A crude wannabe.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure where team blogs stand on these rules - if they're admissible then Geeta should definitely submit Proven By Science as it's a quite original and very appealing idea for a blog and has been going great guns so far. I might submit Popular but I'm not sure it counts as a 'blog' rather than just a site using Blogger.

Heh Nordic the other ILE guy did acknowledge us very early on in his blogging (he hit on the name independently) - I didn't know he'd won anything though.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

He was on last year's shortlist.

adaml (adaml), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I reckon Marcello's a shoe-in. If he noms himself, which I think yer supposed to.

Enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 16:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Blogging is about pithy journalism, not interminable tracts about why Kraftwerk's ouvre in 1976 made ones balls drop a lil' bit further.

Pete (Pete), Wednesday, 22 October 2003 18:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I may have a crack, sadly there doesn't seem to be a category for self-indulgent ranting.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 23 October 2003 00:37 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.iloveeverything.co.uk/2001_08_01_archive.asp#4979259 if anyone is interested, and a few blogs lower he mentions Tom and links to FT, and below that he mentions the Hellblazer movie (this is 2 years ago mind).

there is the theory of the mobius, where time becomes a loop

Alan (Alan), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Where time becomes a loop?

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, where time becomes a loop

Alan (Alan), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

A loop?

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:22 (twenty-one years ago)

sorry, to break this, but I ackcherly saw the Star Trek ep with this line in the other day for the first time. lovely lovely cable telly. mmmmmmm

Alan (Alan), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Scaryduck looks awesome.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Tom, Geeta can't submit it because (sadly) she's not a resident of the UK. Since PBS is part of TomEwing'sMightyEmpireOfOnlineEvil, that duty falls to you I think.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Can you submit multiple blogs then?

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:35 (twenty-one years ago)

No but I thought you had decided that P wasn't permissable on the grounds that it was a site using blogger.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:41 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a grey area too though. It is a site using blogger - on the other hand I'm sure diaristic things were allowed last time and I want the hits.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Well then that's between you and your conscience.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Hold on, I put my conscience down somewhere the other day. Maybe it rolled under the sofa.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahah yes what's between you and your conscience is your nice comfy sofa.

Tim (Tim), Thursday, 23 October 2003 09:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't have a nice comfy sofa between me and my conscience. Just an old broom.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 23 October 2003 12:13 (twenty-one years ago)

there there *pats ned on the back*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 23 October 2003 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Boo-yah. Never heard of any of them. I came to ilx via blogs, but they do, often, conform to the stereotypes associated with computer over-use. Still, I wish Taylor Parkes would post a bit more often.

Rique (Enrique), Thursday, 18 December 2003 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

AHA. A recent Parkes post clears it up and simultaneously demonstrates why his work is urgent and key:

My computer is still broken. Not being able to write except on scrambled scraps of file paper, behind the blinds, is crushing my skull. And I don't go into internet cafes with notebooks and type up notes, so don't bother suggesting.

I wish I was a stupid actor or something.
