because we were all bad little kids once.

though not as bad as the kids in detroit or camden, nj -- where mischief night means going out and setting entire city blocks on fire.

we just contended ourselves with throwing rotten eggs at cars and teepeeing peoples' houses.

we would get those wire things you put around bushes so rabbits don't eat them, put them in the middle of the road, and watch the sparks fly. One time the victim was my dad.
Or we would sneak onto the golf course and hit balls.

ooooo another favorite! the flaming crap bomb!

in high school, my friends and i got thrown off a shore pitch and put for whacking golf balls onto the beach when we were drunk. but that wasn't on mischief night.

Every time I went round to my friend David's house, we would slash the tires and break the wing mirrors of the same white van that was parked in his street. It was really, really cool.

We went out one night and stole as many of those short metal House For Sale signs as we could fit into my friend's mom's Stanza hatchback (it was around 10 I think) then took them to a classmate's house and put them all on her lawn. Her dad pulled up while we were finishing but we just casually walked back to the car. It was certainly a lot more fun than what we would usually do: piss on dumpsters and cars.

altho, without the fires on devil's night, detroit has a lot more abandoned buildings that still stand, perfect for crackhouses, etc.

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 3 November 2009 12:51 (sixteen years ago)

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 3 November 2009 12:51 (sixteen years ago)
