Personally, I think that they're both the greatest standup guys on earth.

I love MH.
Not a big Izzard fan, but maybe it's cuz I'm not British or metropolitan or something.

HoraceMann, Sunday, 26 October 2003 04:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Must not be an executive TV. Yeah, I saw MH in Balto, and I've seen as much media E.I. as possible via kazaa and all that. I think that they are the 2 that have taken the reigns from the l. bruce era.

I love Eddie Izzard. Bigtime.

"Cake or death?" "Thank you for flying Church of England Airlines!" "I'm not only an executive transvestite, I'm an action transvestite."

*sighs* I need to watch some more stuff of his.

He's on tour now, I think my wife might have got tix for the DC show for my b-day, unless the DC show is over.

Patton Oswald is in the running

Eddie Izzard will probably be touring nowhere near me, then....

*goes to official site to check*

Holy crap, I was right. What's it going to take for him to come to bloody Texas, for crying out loud?

I'm changing answers now. Mitch Blooming Hedberg, because he must at least know about the state of Texas.

*goes to official site to check*

Well, New Orleans is one of the places he's going to, which is bloody well close enough. *sticks nose up in air in general direction of Eddie Izzard*

i saw izzard for my birthday. wasn't tops and v.. expensive, his other stuff is incredible but that night was just blah. never heard hedburg. how can you possible ignore bill hicks as the person who took the reigns from the bruce era
?

Nellie (nellskies), Monday, 27 October 2003 06:40 (twenty-two years ago)

from what I've seen of both of 'em, neither of 'em have much to do with Bruce. I mean, Hedberg is obviously the sylistic heir to Steven Wright and Izzard is, well, not Lenny Bruce.
Hicks, obviously was the most recent Brucist (not to be confused with Broo-oocist--aka B.intheUSA), and maybe, MAYBE Doug Stanhope is his next of kin, though Stanhope is awfully f*ckin' whiny.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 27 October 2003 15:05 (twenty-two years ago)

i love eddie izzard, although his most recent video was really, really bad
never heard of mitch hedburg...

robin (robin), Monday, 27 October 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

it's mitchhedbErg and mitchhedberg.com is pronografy, but mitchhedberg.net is cool

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 27 October 2003 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Eddie Izzard is pretty cool, though I never managed to see him in NYC (damn shows sold out in 5 seconds consistently).
