When the Party Won't Be Killed Off

It's 3 or 4AM, i didn't get my nap today, i spent 2 hours getting blasted by Spiritualized in Detroit, i returned home to find a massive halloween party going on, and now German housemates are downstairs in the empty living room, slamming around to Rammstein.

At what point does the party end, and you're legally allowed to kill everyone else just to get some sleep?

Now they're blasting trance music!

Kingfish (Kingfish), Sunday, 26 October 2003 08:36 (twenty-two years ago)

resistance is futile!

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 26 October 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Just announce that it's time for Naked Twister with everyone reciting dialogue from "The Vagina Monologues." If it doesn't break up the party, you won't care!

Skottie, Sunday, 26 October 2003 10:52 (twenty-two years ago)

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 26 October 2003 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Kingfish (Kingfish), Sunday, 26 October 2003 16:41 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not halloween for another week yet though - are they going to be keeping this racket up until Friday??

C J (C J), Sunday, 26 October 2003 20:43 (twenty-two years ago)

This guy I used to know threw a party and all these hippies showed up, and when he got home from work the next day they were still there, and then they invited all their friends and by the end of the week there were like ten dogs running around and people living in tents all over his living room and kitchen, so he just moved out and left the state for about a year. He was a hippie, too.

I was at this show too. No Halloween party or German housemates though, hmm.

Nicolars (Nicole), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

So was the show good? I have high hopes for the LA dates.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Whare are they playing in LA?
Fond memories of their 92 gig at the Palladium with JAMC..

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Two nights at the Palace across from Capitol Records. You're in LA, Baaderist? Or have you emigrated? ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

you left too early.

also, the bouncers at St Andrews are becoming bigger fucktards by the year.

yeah, the show was good, except they didn't play "the Twelve Steps", and people got thrown out for smoking joints.

also, only two SP3 songs: "Walking with Jesus"(natch) and "Things Will Never Be the Same"(neat!)

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

so how did the party finally die?

teeny (teeny), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)

same way it always does, with everyone either leaving or hanging out on the couches, with my german housemate jumping around the now-empty living room with his friend to rammstein, limp bizkit, ratm, etc, and me going down to reconnect the router/hub in said living room so that i could fuck around online, since i obviously wasn't going to get any sleep.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 27 October 2003 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Definitely. Though I like the venue itself, their behavior makes me glad that very few bands I'm interested in seeing end up playing there anymore.

I liked the show though, it was great.

Nicolars (Nicole), Monday, 27 October 2003 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to be Ned, now I've emigrated to the New Europe...

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to be Ned

There was a Ned before me? I fear!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 13:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:33 (twenty-two years ago)

GAH!

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

This isn't a bad thing, I think.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

they'd have to wear sideburns, or be immediately terminated upon leaving the cloning tanks.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I sense bigotry and hate.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

and your clones is gunna sense the rotating knives in a minutes if they don't get hairy.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I protest on the basis of infringement of human rights.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:38 (twenty-two years ago)

You're a celebrity, Ned, you don't have basic human rights!

kate (kate), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Then I claim myself as a resident alien from planet Tharg.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

for those of you who don't believe me about the dancing germans, check here.

and, for a completely horrid picture of me at the event, i direct you to here.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 13:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha. Funny pics. The obvious solution is to drop trou and do the silence of the lambs dance to "Goodbye Horses". This has been known to clear the party out.
