Clip Shows: Through the Ages

100 Grebtest Scary Moments is fairly easily dismissed: a scary 'moment' is very easy to achieve in comparison with a scary film. And 'The Shining' is comedy.

But -- what's become of the regulars? Andrew Collins and David Quantick (whither Maconie?) -- both look a lot richer than they did three years ago. Quantick sported a natty suit, and appears to want to be Kingsley Amis. Collins has developed a mullet, disconcertingly.

There weren't any Morley-ish wildcards -- and why was the whole cast of the League of Unfunnymen involved?

Anyway -- clip shows, when did the rot set in?

you're implying that they weren't rotten from the start.

That programme was knackers. I'm scared by scary movies and I managed to watch every single one of them with nary a shudder.

And, pray tell, where was RETURN TO OZ? Scariest movie evah!!

Mark Kermode just looks odder by the second.

And Andrew Collins and Matt DC must never meet, as they will both foretell the death of the other.

The missus says the exact same Mark about Return to Oz, and I'd agree some of the way. Those unicyclists -- woah!

Hellraiser looked quite scary -- but not as scary as Kim Newman. Collins and Quantick (and even Maconie) were quite good on the radio, back in like 1994.
