typoing! best meta-typo ever

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:11 (twenty-two years ago)

mine is embarassment, or embarass

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:11 (twenty-two years ago)

it's embarassing

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:11 (twenty-two years ago)

it's embarrassing, actually. unless that is what you mean.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:12 (twenty-two years ago)

ARGH

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:14 (twenty-two years ago)

"Lesbian," which I usually misspell as "lesbina."

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:15 (twenty-two years ago)

"friend", which I started misspelling last month. Now, I just say, "mate", instead

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I always type about too quickly and end up with "abuot". Watch for it the next time you IM me.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:18 (twenty-two years ago)

THAT'S your secret? And here I thought you were just trying to be different;>

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I do 'knwo' a lot

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Nesse... nescesar... neccesary FUCK! See?

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh and I love how often people mistype "account" as "acocunt".

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:23 (twenty-two years ago)

My boss has a friend named Cynthia, whose name I invariably always type as "Cunthia".

She is one, too.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:23 (twenty-two years ago)

also, you should see the mail I get!

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:24 (twenty-two years ago)

"diminished" (I always type "diminshed")

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Tuesday, 28 October 2003 01:39 (twenty-two years ago)

"received"

"seperate"

"definitive"

these are all my weaknesses

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 02:04 (twenty-two years ago)

three most common fatfinger flubs I'm prone to:

teh
enavled
destoryed

Lord Custos Omicron (Lord Custos Omicron), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 02:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Put another notch in front of "separate"/"seperate" for me, please. I still don't really know how to discern one from the other.

Most "lengthy" words are words I like to type out. I was trying out "functionality" just now and found I really love that word because the process of typing that word out uses so many different fingers. And thankfully I worked out that whole "receive" business back in high school.

Hmm. "Business". I don't particularly care for typing out that word, because it requires too few fingers. Very repetitive.

I'm a freak, aren't I?

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 02:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I lost a spelling bee due to "separate".

"Occasionally": I will rewrite a sentence rather than use that word, because I am never sure it's spelt correctly.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 02:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Amen on "separate" (or "seperate," as the case may be).

Lee G (Lee G), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

i18n

Colin Saunders (csaunders), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 04:47 (twenty-two years ago)

i once very embarrassingly fucked up the spelling of "separate," too. an entire 9th grade essay on a separate peace, which my english teacher said would've otherwise gotten me an A+ had i not misspelled "separate" throughout the entire essay!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)

That's fucked up. You should sue.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 05:24 (twenty-two years ago)

the months towards the end of the year. I often put in extra "e"s.

I did this just now on the Strange Fruit Festival thread. December became Decemeber.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 09:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Luyc. I really should have got my own name by now.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 10:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I've often prevented myself from signing off an e-mail with Marj in the nick of time.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 10:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Remeber and absokutely (though I quite like "absocutely" as a descriptive word).

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 10:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm finding that I'm typing my responses to this thread incredibly s-l-o-w-l-y, hyper-aware as I am that typos in a thread about typos would be the ultimate irony!

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 10:15 (twenty-two years ago)

teh adn ti.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

HAS!!! HAS HAS HAS HAS HAS!!! I can no longer type the common, every day word "has" any more.

kate (kate), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 13:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Most words these days it seems.....although I very often write defintiley instead of definitely

smee (smee), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

My favorite is when I get really going, I'll accidentally flub the "-tion" endings into "-tino", so over the course of any work day I'm confronted with "constructino"s and "subragatino"s and "associatino"s and it's like my hand is being forced into this horrible cartoon stereotype nonsense Italian or something.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

or Definately. I see people mucking that up all the time.

Lord Custos Omicron (Lord Custos Omicron), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:27 (twenty-two years ago)

"acocunt" is really the best word ever.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I learned in a game of Cranium this weekend that Stewardesses is one of the longest words you can type using only your left hand. Stewardesses. Stewardesses. Ha. I'm probably not even spelling that right.

I have trouble typing AND. I'm always ending up with nad.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

"were", b/c i always type it as "wrer", and I often don't notice.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

ARISTOTLE

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Teh, all the time.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I often find when I type the word grout, I type my surname instead.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Group.. Dammit.....

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I have to type the word "subordinate" a lot for my work, and I always end up with "subordiante," which might be a word in Italian, but it isn't one in English.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
masculism.
I'd like to see one of them register e-masculism.org as a web presence.
masculism. what an ugly word. if it's mostly used to "describe the belief that the male and female genders should be considered complementary and interdependent by necessity", it doesn't strike me as the best name for the job.

Sébastien Chikara (Sébastien Chikara), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Sebastien, you are fantastic and odd.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:36 (twenty-two years ago)
